I decided to buy it. If I can find a replacement stock great, if not, that's alright. I'll still have fun shooting it. Besides, I ended up buying it for less than he was asking.

It appears to be in pretty good shape, though, I don't know how everything looks when it's taken down. The scarcity of the ammunition is something to think about.

A friend that I bought a few things from in the past, has a Remington model 8 that he wants to sell. It' shoots 35 Rem. I don't see alot of ammo available for it, but he will include a box of it. $500. Does anyone have experience with these? Thanks.

Well I posted the question at another site also. Then I remembered that there were alot of mini 14 people here. Everyone seems to lean towards not trading. I contacted the guy and told him that I couldn't trade due to the advice from everyone. Thanks for all your advice.

Mine is pretty much stock except for a peep sight and a adapter to attach a slant brake. The condition is like new, no scratches or dings.

I just had the extractor replaced on my 31, so that's taken care of. Now I'm having feed issues. The cartridge gets stuck between the 2 metal plates, and doesn't feed into the chamber. I can fire off anywhere between 1-10 rounds before it jams. :banghead: **My sling retracts just fine, but...
