I have a Rossi 92 in 357 with a 16" barrel, a Ruger 77/44 in 44 with a 18.5" barrel, a Marlin 94 in 44 with a 20" barrel, and a Rossi 92 in 454 with a 20" barrel. I reload for each of them and have used all of them to take game here in Texas including deer and hogs.
The 357 is light and handy...
I purchased a Super Redhawk 454 back in 1998. First trip to the range was a real eye opener. Immediately after leaving the range I stopped at the local gun smith and left the revolver to be ported with 4 holes on each side of the barrel, just offset of the rifling. Some may not like the...
Purchased a nickle 6" Taurus model 66 circa 1985 for a total of $145 NIB from Oshman's Sporting Goods. That pistol trained a lot of shooters over the years and even managed a couple of hogs. Never had an issue with it. Great pistol (just wish my nephew would return it ;)).
Was it as nice a...
Really enjoy shooting the 327, as well as it's siblings 32 H&R and 32 long. I've owned the 3" SP101 and still have a Taurus 327... but as a self defense round I wasn't as enthused about it as I had hoped... lots of blast & noise and the recoil wasn't drastically different than some 135grn 357's...
I did borrow a 30-30 for some hog hunting most recently. Still as effective as ever;but, I sold off my personal 30-30's years ago and replaced them lever actions in 454, 44, 357 and 327 mag. Simply found reloading the pistol calibers a little easier and the guns a little lighter to handle.
I have and load for the a 77/44 and have always used the same loads for the carbine as I do with my revolvers with good success. One thing I have noticed is that the magazines on the carbine have issue with some of the heavier 280-300 grain bullets I load because the OAL is too long for the...
It might be in the current catalog, but I purchased a convertible 45 bisley NIB just a few years back and spotted others local gun shows since. The acp is unfluted, but a real tack driver. Very flexible setup and one of my favorite to shoot. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
I would go with the Ruger in 327. Having owned the 3", no sights version I can attest that it is a very nice package; but, given a preference the newer 4" barrel with adjustable sights would be my choice.
I haven't used that bullet in the 32 mag, but I have used that bullet for 32 acp rounds and expansion is very good from a Walther PP. At the velocity published for that load by DT, I would think that expansion would be.... aggressive! But, such expansion from those velocities might limit...
Just noticed that Lipsey's is listing a Henry Arms lever action in 327 mag... I've been waiting for just such a rifle to go with my handguns.!

update: Actually listing 4 models, but the 16.5" barrel is enticing
I've owned 2 over the years. Only issue I had was the trigger spring had to be replaced in one. Solid revolvers, just keep your reloads to respectable levels and don't treat it like it's a 44 mag and it will give you years of service. Price is reasonable
Is the 32 mag obsolete because of the 327? Absolutely not. Nor is the 32 Long obsolete because of the other 2. I have revolvers and load for all three calibers and each serves it role. My Ruger SP101 with a 4" barrel in 32 mag has accompanied me on many a walk thru the woods dispatching a few...
I am fond of the 44 special and have several revolvers chambered for it including a Rossi 720. I generally carried the gold dot's myself, but I ordered the wadcutters used by Buffal Bore from Rim Rock and loaded my own. Since you reload, you can pick up 500 cast bullets to develop your own load...
I have owned a hog-hunter in 308, and still own a Scout 10 in 308. The hog hunter was acquired new and the Scout was picked up in a trade, so in my case I had a little less in the Scout than the HH. I ended up selling the HH and keeping the Scout because i preferred the better sights and...
My k frames wear Pachmyer Compac Pro grops. No backstrap but they conceal well and fit my small hands. If you want to try them out sometime, give me a shout.

Been in Houston since 1980, been packing a firearm on daily basis most of that time. Yes, Houston is HOT in the summer. If you're outside you're going to sweat. If the leather is close to you it will soak up the moisture. I've seen days when I was younger and worked outside when I had to rotate...
I picked up an AO in trade a few years back. The only issue I've ever had was 1 after market mag wouldn't hold the bolt open on the last shot. Been reliable with every brand of ammo I've run thru it. It's only been about 1500 rounds so far, but I have no complaints. Accuracy for off hand...
My P380 has been an excellent carry pistol. Has well over 500 hundred rounds of factory and reloads thru it and functions perfectly. Less perceived recoil and easier to keep on target than either the LCP or P3AT I've owned in the past. Sees the most use during the summer months and often rides...
