Recoil reducing stock for Remington 1100

IMHO, a 12ga shotgun is way too much gun for a women of that age with no shooting experience. Even young women find shotguns difficult to handle due to stock length, weight, and fear of recoil. Consider trading the shotgun for a compact rifle (Mini 14 would be good) or a revolver.

    Second Shotgun?

I own several shotguns, all of them 12ga. A Browning Sweet 16 is the only non-12ga shotgun I would even consider buying. -

    Browning Buck Mark

I have a Buck Mark with a Nikon red dot on it. It's one of my fav handguns. Be sure to do the sear spring flip and you'll have a wonderful trigger as well. Sight it in at 15 yards and it will also be accurate at 50yds due to the parabolic bullet path. Most of my Buck Mark shooting is done...

Why, oh why, would anyone want a side break O/U? The very idea makes me cringe!

    Optics and Eye Dominance

I'm left eye dominant. I shoot right handed. The vision out of my right eye is terrible compared to my left eye due to astigmatism in my right eye and contact lenses which do a poor job of correcting astigmatism. With handguns, I aim with my left eye. With shotguns, I use the Scotch tape on...

    CHL Belts, which one?

Crossbreed Holsters and Don Hume both make leather belts in the $50-60 range. The Beltman is a little more expensive but well worth the money. -

Does anyone know what could be going on with this 11-87?

Is it ejecting the spent shells? Has he check the o-ring for damage? Could be a weak gas seal. Also, what type of load is he shooting? If he's shooting light loads, it may not be creating enough gas pressure to drive the bolt fully back. -

NC: Clayton man to test law, bring machine gun to store

Dumb. But not half as dumb as the NC law that allows Sheriffs to deny a handgun purchase permit on the grounds of poor moral character. Ol' Jim Crow in action.

When do you think a child is old enough to learn how to handle and use a firearm?

7 is a good age to start teaching how to safely use a firearm and a BB gun is a great way to start. But only under very strict supervision. The degree of supervision can slowly be relaxed as the child demonstrates the experience and maturity to handle the weapon safely. Something which may...

452 CZ - worst to best trigger

My 452 trigger was heavy with noticeable creep until I installed an Eric Brooks trigger kit on it. Now it breaks cleanly at 2 lbs with no creep. It's perfect.

    Belgian Browning Light 12

That's a beauty! My dad has a Light 12 he bought around 1960. Sadly, he had a Polychoke installed on it and those things are butt ugly. Otherwise, it's in good shape and had never been fired much. I love old Brownings. -

    Savage or CZ?

Yes, but I'm not interested. I don't like laminate stocks. Solid hardwood only.
