    gunbroker prices

I post a few guns for sale on Gunbroker every now and again, when I need to change up my collection. I always start at .01 with no reserve. I have yet to feel like I'm losing money, and this way the market sets the value. It's a hell of a lot better than going to a gun shop and the first thing...

I once traded a West German Walther PP .32 acp for a Fiat Spider 850. I know I got hosed!:banghead:

Why isnt there a market for airguns online?

Actually there are numerous places, you're just not looking hard enough.:neener: Maybe I shouldn't tell you this, because it creates more competion for me, but......... Try gunbroker and auctions for used airguns. Both sites have seperate airgun sections. Airguns.net has a great link...

    Eye dominance frustration

Do what I did...learn how to shoot left handed! When I was in the Army several years ago, I couldn't qualify with the M16, because my right eye is weak. :banghead: So under the "caring" guidance of my Drill Sergeant , I took his advice and learned to shoot left handed, left eye. It was...

How many guns in your life have you BOUGHT vs. SOLD?

Out of all the guns (handguns, rifles, shotguns, black powder, and airguns) I've ever bought sold or traded: 81 :o: Guns currently in collection: 23  I keep a list of everything including serial numbers, descriptions, when bought/sold/or traded. I love to buy sell...

Whyyyyy do people pester me whhhhhy (While buying a gun)

Way back when my father and I were out near a lake, that had some birds swimming in it. I said "Dad, what are those birds?" He said "Well, they're ducks of course." I said "why do you think they are ducks?" his reply "Well, if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, and acts like a...

.22 Long Rifle - concentrating efforts

I'm with you. I find myself shooting .22's more than anything. In fact, I've sold off or traded a lot of my bigger stuff, just to get more .22's. My last acquisition was a S&W41. After shooting it, it's about all I care to shoot anymore.

What did you buy this weekend?

A local security company is transitioning to automatics. They are selling all their S&W model 64's for $150! I bought four.

    Guns that got away!

I have two: 1) Walther PP .32 ACP, West German, traded for a FIAT 850 Spider  2) Colt New Service .44-40, ammo was too expensive, and I did not reload. Of course Cowboy shooting changed the ammo issue, about five years too late.

Is the "new" Gunsamerica.com better than the old?

The new gunsamerica is horrible!!!!! I don't even bother with it anymore.

    Shotgun as first gun?

A shotgun as a first gun is an excellent idea. I would recommend a nice 12 gauge pump (I like Remington 870's). I would also recommend getting both a short and a long barrel (they are interchangeable). The short barrel (18" to 20") should be cylinder bore (choke), which is handy for home...

    Underhammer rifle

Hello, I've only shot blackpowder a few times, but I finally decided I need a rifle. Anyway, I've been cruising the auction sites looking for a used underhammer rifle in my price range (around $175), but I haven't had any luck yet. Does anyone have any suggestions on where else to look...

    Universal Ferret (m-1).256 win mag

I just picked up a Universal Ferret at a local gun show. It is in very good shape with a unknown maker 1.5-4x32 scope on it. Anyone have any experience with one? I got it in part of a pretty good trade, and haven't decided if I'll keep yet. I'll have to get some dies and brass and load some...

online gun auction sites....are these guys for real?

I personally have bought and sold several items on both Gunbroker and Auctionarms. I think the key is to look for used guns. Most new guns are way out of line, especially when you factor in transfer fees and shipping. The exception is when you are looking for a hard to get new item. For...

    Most annoying Gun Myths

This myth amazes me that an airgun can safely/humanely harvest rabbits and squirrels, but the "lowley" .22 short ain't worth beans! My Webley Tracker air-rifle can propel a 14.3 grain .22 caliber pellet to about 650 fps, and knock a squirrel silly! However, when I'm using .22 shorts all the...

    Weak hand pistol shooting

Well, I'm left eye dominant and right handed. This posed a problem when was in the Army. I couldn't hit the 300 and 400 meter targets (bad right eye). Needless to say, it was shoot left handed, left eye, or out I was:) . Well, I learned, and it was awkward as hell, but I did it. I shoot with...
