    New Ruger

People here act as if Ruger's marketing is an affront to them personally. Sorry, but their marketing is designed to sell guns. Nothing more. You can choose to take offense, or you can let it roll off your back like so much other marketing out there, and decide whether you want the thing on it's...

    New Ruger

My wife told me to get one. She never tells me that about any gun. I will be getting one. In all seriousness, I had a Kahr CW40 and the curve at the back of the grip where it meets the web of your hand just "bit" my hand wrong. It's quite an acute angle. This new LC9 looks like it wouldn't...

Anti Idiot scratch Slide Stop [PIC]

Too late for me. I got one the first time I disassembled my new Springer, which was the first time I disassembled any 1911 ever. :(

going to gunshow in a week what to look for?

Jerky, sunglasses, crystalware, some dude will clean your glasses for free. If you're lucky, you might even find somebody selling sugar gliders.

Anyone hear of the IRS registration loophole...(look.)

http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/weekly/aa091900a.htm It's an urban legend, and frequent e-mail hoax.

    Glock 21 in Calli

Sorry to Necro this thread, but I'm thinking of doing a road trip into CA in the fall. I'll be passing thru states where I can legally carry concealed (Utah Permit) and will have my S&W 642. I know about locking it unloaded in a hardcase for transport through the state, and about bringing it...

What's wrong on background check's for firearms?

Background checks do not infringe the rights of permitted persons. Oh, I might have to wait 15 minutes longer to buy my gun. But I am still permitted to buy it and take it home. If you think those extra minutes are an infringement, then you've never waited in line to vote... Waiting periods...

Ever hear of the DDTC? This is why ammo is so expensive!!!!!

So sig2009, you have never taken Econ 101 have you? In a free market, supply and demand set the price. Demand is extreme, supply hasn't met demand, and therefore retailers can raise the price, and still sell the merchandise. Retailers charge what the market will bear. It's as simple as that...

Why do gun owners do this to each other?

Honestly, who cares about this? It's the free market at work. If someone is willing to pay him $600 then he's the clever one. If not, well, lesson learned.

    C&R pain

You must have the new form. It took me something like 3 months to get a form. But it only took 3 weeks to get the license after I mailed it in. This was earlier this year.

    NRA Life Membership $300

My check was cashed, and I checked my membership status online. It says "Life - Active" so I guess it's done. I don't really care if it says "gift" membership or not. Thanks tuckerdog!

    BIG-5 Firearms Registry?

Big 5 has laminated stock Mosin 91/30's on sale this week for $99.99.

    BIG-5 Firearms Registry?

Well. Big 5 is not the government. Therefore they are not enjoined from doing it. If you feel certain that's what they're doing, and you fear that info getting into the hands of gun banners, then don't shop there I guess.

    ObomaNation Effect?

Yeah, let's talk guns, not economics.

    BIG-5 Firearms Registry?

I've bought 2 Mosins from Big 5, and never felt like it was too big of a deal, and yeah, I had the manager walk to the cash register each time and have to tell the cashier what to type. That stuff typically doesn't bother me. Also I've never bothered to care what anyone else in the store might...

    Another "gunstore geniuses" thread.....

I went to a gunshow Saturday, and was helping my dad to look for a 642. I was trying to find one of the new ones without a lock, and got into a discussion with the owner of a local dealership and mentioned that there were lots of stories about lock failures. He replied "There have only been TWO...
