New boots for the Smith 19-6

Ahh, no wonder they look so good. I have a pair of his grips on my 66 and will probably get another set for my newly acquired 15. Congrats on a fine looking gun.

What is the last gun that you bought?

Bought a S&W Model 15 yesterday, it'll be the 20th before I get to bring it home. I'm already looking for new grips and trying to decide if I should have it tweaked by a smith or not. :D

Identity and Date of Manufacture of S&W Revolvers

Just picked up a used Model 15-3 S&W with SN K998700, 4" barrel. I was surfing around and I have (I think) narrowed it down to 1967 to 1977? Appreciate the help :)

686, missing rear sight - worth the trouble?

I'm jealous, here where I live, that gun would be selling for a lot more, even w/o the rear sight. ;)

    New Kim Ahrends

I hope you don't mind me piggy backing on your thread. I just got a set of Ahrends for my 66. Ordered them from Ahrends, nice people. These are cordia wood, round to square butt tactical. Shot a match with them yesterday and they worked out perfectly. I love em.

    Happy with your LCR?

I'm still happy with mine, comfortable to shoot, light as a feather, whats not to like?

range trip with the new 3 inch gp100

I bought the sight they said would fit, can't find the receipt to check model, sorry. It does shoot to point of aim. The grips I picked up at a gun show a few years ago, from a fellow that made his own, haven't seen him in awhile. They work really well though.

range trip with the new 3 inch gp100

Good for you, you've got one of my favorite revolvers, great first choice, IMHO. I have one that I bought used some years ago, a police trade in. It's been a pleasure to shoot, with .38 & .357, have used it in IDPA matchs. I hated the (factory) compact grip it came with and found a wood grip at...

    S&w 66

I just got a 66-7, wanted to take up SSR in IDPA (for a change from CDP) and came across one for five bills, good for my area. It does have that hole in the side, but still a heck of a shooter. I'd love to have one in the short barrel configuration, will be keeping my eyes open for one...

    Anyone bought the Ruger M77/357?

Thanks FMJMIKE. I've been thinking of this one as a substitute for a lever action in this caliber, seems like a lower powered variation on Col. Cooper's Scout rifle. I have yet to see one in my local shops, guess I'll have to make the rounds and see if that's changed.

Like the title says, been thinking about this model since I heard about it, wonder if anyone here has one and wants to share an opinion. :)
