I have a lady friend looking for a semi in 9mm. that is lefty friendly. While it is primarily for home, a medium size would be best. It should have an ambi safety or none and hopefully a mag release on the right or at least somewhere that is friendly to a lefty.
Many thanks!
I urge my fellow members here to go to the Newsweek website
xtra. newsweek.com and participate in the poll. As a result of the Virgina Tech shootings they are asking if we need tighter gun controls. We need to be heard. One insane guy with a gun should not paint us all as bad guys.
Thanks,
I am looking for very nice wood grips for my CZ PCR. I have seen wood grips by Hakim on the CZ website, but they are not to my liking. I am looking for the classic design with some checking. The CZ website does not show any factory
wood grips. Any info where to look would be appreciated...
I just purchased a used Colt Junior 25 ACP which is a very small semi. I want
to get new wood checkered grips for it and looked up Colt and Brownells on the internet but they don't have them.. Perhaps one of the members here could
direct me to another possible source.
Thanks in advance.
Some holster makers incorporate heavy molding in their holsters to insure better retention. I have been looking at holsters from Rafter Leather and while they look good, they dont't show any heavy molding. My question is do any of you members have any experience with their product and if so...
Am interested in getting opinions from people who own or have expierence with both. I have a PCR and would never trade or sell it. Great gun!!
If you had to choose one over the other, which one and why?
Many thanks!
I was just looking at wilsonscombat.com websight and saw they are selling discontinued holsters and mag carriers at discounted prices. Most of te holsters are for glocks, S&W, para and a few others. Sharkskin models are generally $69.95 and plain black, 45.95. I purchased a sharkskin belt...
Congratulations to Mr Camp. I just receive the March/April issue of American Handgunner and see that Mr. Camp has an article in it. It's about a father and son who signed on for a course in making a custom 45. The finished guns look great. More to the point, I don't know if this is his first...
I purchased a Kimber Pro-Elite in 1995. Recently I checked the safety grip and found that while not engaging it, I could pull the trigger and the hammer would strike. I contacted Kimber and they said to return it. Since I work in Yonkers, NY,
I brought it in. At the end of the next day...
I notice in various mags that the prices for McCormick .45 mags and parts are cheaper than those of Wilson. I believe both have excellent reputations and I'm curious at this. Do any members have experience with
both and what are their reccomendations?
Thanks in advance!
I need help!! Can anybody tell where to find an illustrated copy on how to reasemble the 1911? All the manuals, when referring to reasembling the 1911
say, "repeat the previous instructions in reverse." My problem is how to properly line up and replace the slide release pin without...
I don't know if others here have have done this. Sometimes when I have too much time on my hands, I start to look on this forum, in local gun shops and auction sites at used guns. I'm looking for something that captures my interest first.
Then I research it further, then see if I can get it...
I'm interested in getting info on these semi autos. It appears they went out of business in the late 80's. The guns look great but what was their reputation? Are they now just collectors items?
All info appreciated.

I just picked up a Kahr PM9 and am looking for a pocket holster for front pocket carry. One that will breakup the outline and stay put on the draw! Anyone with experience in this area, I would appreciate your feedback. Also, if you know a good in waist leather holster for this gun.
Thanks.
In a recent article in an NRA magazine, it stated that the majority of guns
are being purchased by people in their sixties. They want to be able to
defend themselves instead of using a cell phone and waiting for the police. That had me wondering about the members on this board. I want to...
Over the weekend I went to a gun shop on Long Island that carries the
Rohrbaugh. I was curious and wanted to check it out.
My impressions were:
Very nice looking. Excellent workmanship. Very small grip with smooth grips which means when firing, would be hard to control twisting...

I was reading that hollow point rounds when fired into a person with heavy
winter clothing, have penetration problems. The expanded bullet picks up some
of the fabric and that the heavier clothing absorbs some of the energy thereby impeding penetration.
If this is true, does it mean that...
