I would go to a well stocked gun store and look at pistols in 9mm and 380. In 380 land avoid direct blow back pistols. See what feels best in your hand.
Yup. If you have an older one, or older new springs you are using for replacements then there was a time when the larger front spring was directional and the open end went to the front of the pistol. Fortunately Colt fixed this at some point. The issue was there on my 2002. Here in a picture...

You might try looking at videos by Hickok45. He has tested a bunch of the little 380 pocket pistols. I got a S&W Bodyguard and agree with about everything he says about it. I am O.K. with the trigger but do not like it and my wife loves it.
When you have an international audience then some things are going to sell silly high. To you it is a used cheapo Glock 17 but to somebody else it is the gun Dad carried or something like that.
