    Cool Holster for my GP100

Holsters for the 3" GP100 are not the most common holsters out there. I've found a couple... But, I was looking for one that I could grab and shove in my belt at home, if needed. I found this old Klipspringer holster from Safariland.., It's marked for a 3" K frame, but fits my GP100 perfectly...

    Tractiongrips For Magpul Forend

I went from the Hogue overmold forend to the Magpul forend on my Mossberg 500. In comparison to the Hogue, the polymer Magpul felt a little slippery to my taste. I had previously used Tractiongrips rubber stick on grip on my keltec P32 with good result, so I ordered their stick on grip for the...

    Bauer 25 Problem

I posted the following in the the other small 22/25 thread, but decided to start a new thread to see if any Bauer/Browning Baby experts had any thoughts on my issue. I recently bought a Bauer 25... When function testing it at home, I noticed that it took a really hard pull on the slide to get...

Sheridan Blue Streak Coming My Way

I have wanted a 5mm Sheridan since I was a kid...but I had to make do with a Crosman 1400 pneumatic. I just won an auction for what looks like a 1960's Sheridan Blue Streak in good condition. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I already ordered an assortment of pellets from Pyramid Air.

    Dad's Custom WWII Combat Knife

My father enlisted in an Ohio National Guard Unit prior to WWII. It was a cavalry unit which still had horses...half horse, half armored cars. The unit photo shown was taken shortly before the unit was nationalized and became the 107th cavalry. He trained in different parts of the country...

    Fun with SR22P

I bought one of these neat pistols the first week they were out, but work and weather kept me from getting it to the range. Today, with a day off and the sun shining, I finally got out to give it a try. What a great pistol. After shooting a few mags, I just looked at it and smiled. I shot...

    Saiga 5.45

I have been intrigued by the 5.45 cartridge, and the low prices for spam cans full of it. Having just sold a couple handguns, I decided to get a Saiga 5.45. Found one at a gun show...the dealer had two...he had just sold one before I walked up. They were the only two of this model in the whole...

    Para GI Expert...First Range Trip

I was going to buy a Rock Island Tactical, when I stopped in a gun shop and saw they had the Para USA GI Expert on sale for $449. I wasn't aware of this model, so I went home and did some research, finding that most who owned them liked them. Having just sold a pistol to finance this purchase...

    Mossberg Accu Choke Question

I have a 20" barrel for my Mossberg 500 marked "Accu Choke"...Many of the the choke tubes I see for sale are marked "Accu Choke II"...Whats the difference? Interchangeable? My barrel came with a modified choke tube, and I would like to experiment with different chokes.

    My S&W Family Portrait

My S&W virus began with a Model 15-3. It is a revolver which I just can't seem to miss with...light, well balanced, points like a finger. Then, I added the L frame 686, and the Model 19-4 357 mags. Recently, I added the Model 38 Bodyguard J frame. My S&W virus isn't over...A six inch Model 10...

Cheap Nickle model 19-4 2.5", New For me

I was shopping the Berea Ohio gun show when I spotted this Model 19-4 with a price tag of $350....since I had just sold a pistol for about the same amount, I jumped on it...Pinned &recessed...just needs some wood grips and a tyler T-grip. It was from a dealer who sometimes has police-sold...

    Question RE: Hogue Overmolded Stock

I have a Hogue Overmolded stock set for my PGO Mossberg, mainly because I prefer the fore-end. When I use the buttstock, I like it, however...the recoil pad is very sticky and slows shouldering. It also adds some length I don't need. I contacted Hogue to see if they offer or could recommend a...

    First time out with New/Used SP101 3"

I picked up this 3" SP101 recently in a trade for a Sig P6. Got it out to the range at my rifle club Sunday morning, a beautiful fall day with bright sunlight on the changing leaves. I brought Blazer 158gn JHP and American Eagle 158gn Soft Point 357 magnum. The Blazer didn't group real well...

    H-Straps or Y straps...Which is better LBE?

Putting together some LBE for hiking. I already have the pistol belt, but I am wondering whether the H-straps or Y-straps are better. The backpacker in me guesses that the H-straps are better, particularly when using a buttpack.
