I've only fondled DS's ARs at fun shows but I've shot my pal's DS 1911 and it's a fine handgun.
I recall when OlyArms was considered the bottom-feeder among AR manufacturers, but wasn't that from when they were using cast receivers? I've shot a number of OA carbines from the last few years...
Obviously a lot of parents with fans of Phineas and Ferb in here!
My only concealed carry option right now is my Kimber GC stainless, however I would certainly supplement it with a pocket pistol if I had one!

This thread reminds me
of a link my father-in-law sent me yesterday.

When exactly is it too much gun?
Right about there.
I'm afraid even the 4570 would be a bit much for me. Now on the other hand, I'd love a handgun or revolver in 30carbine...
My handguns are kept loaded and chambered, despite the presence of a school-age child.
Why are my handguns kept loaded and chambered?
Because we have handguns for self-defense, and in a self-defense situation...any self-defense situation, you want as many factors under your control as...
My 2 cents...probably worth about just that.
I work at a max security prison, and while I've only been there for around 6 months, I've been involved with a few uses of force wherein OC was deployed.
My experiences have led me to a few conclusions.
1) Like most sd weapons, OC is only...
Divorce.
I've noticed that when women get divorced, they very often lose weight. I've seen this in most of the divorced couples I know. While the men generally pork out.
Back on topic, my wife really wants someone to make an 80% scaled FN Five Seven. She likes how they shoot, but has a hard...
My wife's preferences. She's 5'1", and petite, with tiny hands.
Sigs: P232 (380), P239 (9mm), or P225(9mm, out of production but easy to find).
1911: any reliable 3-4.5" model, preferably with an aluminum frame. She prefers 9mm to 45, but handles the 45 pretty well.
The above choices...
TAB,
I was thinking the same thing: tolerances, engines, and such.
Let's look at an extreme example: Les Baer 1911s. They are, IMHO, absurdly tight. However, I'm not going to accuse the man of making anything less than fine handguns.
I would say that in general, match-grade...
Looks like BladeTech has holster offerings for the FNP-45. They're calling it the FNH P45, but I imagine they mean the FNP-45.

RR,
Thanks for reminding me about that/your holster. I'd forgotten about that one.
I went back and reviewed some emails and found Kevin doesn't feel the Maverick will be a good choice for the P7.
Concealed carry has been a lower priority for me lately since I'm working at a prison. But...
I appreciate the suggestions!
FIST Inc holsters get a lot of favorable mentions over on DefensiveCarry.
I haven't ever had the opportunity to handle any of their holsters, but I was just eyeballing one of their leather models (#19 close cropped) online. I'll take a look at their thin kydex as...
I love it.
Kevin's work is outstanding. I fled to OWB-land after a disheartening experience with an impossibly thick IWB. When I acquired my P7, I decided to go OWB and it's very comfortable. I'm still going to return to IWB though, if only due to the heat here in TX.
The Defender definitely...
I don't believe the TK10 has strobe either, I mentioned it more as a general reference to Fenix. My Nitecore has strobe and I haven't found any real use for that function at work. I want the TK10 because it throws a tremendous amount of light.
:)

I picked up a Nitecore Defender from TAD Gear
http://tadgear.com/x-treme%20gear/flashlights%20main/defender_infinity.htm
for carry around my workplace (prison) and I've been pretty happy with it. I went with the Defender because it runs on garden variety(and cheap) AAs rather than lithium...
