    Winchester 243...the better 6.5 Creedmore?

My local Walmart is stocking Hornady 6.5CM brass and a few different projectiles. I'm seeing Creedmoor stuff more and more available.

    Ruger 10/22 magazine problem

My Rugers don't like Remington ammo. I'd see if you could borrow another Ruger mag and different ammo to see if that fixes your issue if you don't want to put anymore money in it.

6.5 Creedmor more popular than .300 Blackout?

Put a break on a 6.5 CM and it's recoil almost becomes a tickle. Lots of long range shooters shoot with cans.

    Ruger 10/22 magazine problem

I'd pick up a new Ruger Magazine and try some Federal Auto-Match ammo. Any chance the old magazines set loaded for long periods of time over the past 20 years?

6.5 Creedmor more popular than .300 Blackout?

High BC projectiles for 6mm and 6.5mm combined with the power to take game at long range and shoot tiny little groups with a nice selection of factory rounds....I'd take that over the 300 BLK since I'm not clearing houses with suppressors. The 300 BLK is fun to play with, but costly for what it...

    contemplating a trade....

I sold a Lee-Enfield that I loved and a RIA 1911 to fund my 6.5CM. I now have a Savage Stealth with a Vortex Viper on top of it that'll get more use than those 2 ever did. Both went to good gun-loving homes that shoot them frequently.

What Is The Most Accurate, Durable And Well Made 22LR For Around $300?

Mine are tack drivers with cheap bulk ammo. Not to mention I've shot 10/22s for 15 years or more very frequently.

What Is The Most Accurate, Durable And Well Made 22LR For Around $300?

I have 2 10-22 rifles, a takedown with irons and a carbine with a folding stock and a 3x9x32 on it. If I can't do it with either of those then out comes something centerfire.

    NEW 2017 SAVAGE AR10

Once a few range reports come out about the 6.5 I'll start saving...or leasing the kid for yard work to the neighbors.

    SKS

I have owned 4 different SKS rifles, still have a Norinco and a 1954 Tula. Owned an AK, traded it for a S&W 686. I much prefer the SKS for shooting over the AK. Smoked a lot of field rocks into gravel in the past 10 years.

    "New" SKS vs. AR Thread

Tarosean, how much has the AR platform evolved since then? With customization to fit a persons needs with barrel lengths, calibers, piston or DI, rails, sights, etc it's like Legos for adults. From 1945 to 1955, firearms changed and evolved to introduce the AK-47, FN FAL, the 7.62x51 round, M14...

    "New" SKS vs. AR Thread

You can compare a 1969 Z-28 Camaro to a brand new 2016 Camaro with about the same outcome. ARs are evolving and improving, and flat out work. The SKS is a design from 1945 that has barely changed since Cold War days. I fell in love with the SKS long before AR platforms were familiar. I see the...

For us that can shoot whenever you want or need to What is your go to Rifle

I always have a 10-22, 357 Mag, and a 12 ga easily accessible. The 10-22 gets picked most of all, the shotgun and revolvers are mostly for SD. If there was a coyote in the yard I wouldn't hesitate to shoot it with a 22lr.

Post your big game/small cartridge experience

Let's just say I've killed my fair share of animals with a 22lr down here in SWVA. It's not all about the gun, sometimes it's about the shooter. Sometimes it's about luck as well.

    7.62x39 Ruger American

I own 2 SKS rifles, a Chinese and a Russian. My local Wal-Mart has a CZ on the shelf as of the other day, I'm pretty sure I heard my Visa crying for help. I might hold off on hopes that Ruger or Savage will come through with a less expensive alternative.

    News from Henry!

I have fighting rifles and shotguns for when it hits the fan. I can't load a side gate 30-30 without me pushing the 2nd or 3rd round a bit too far and it shutting anyways. I always loaded tube magazines by pulling the whole ram-rod out and dropping them in from the end instead of inserting them...
