    Possible Wolf supply chain interruption?

sorry meant to say ALMOST all ammo..... Basically meant it to say that I have seen surplus brass 7.62x54R once. The coloring was off, and I didn't know it was brass until I tried to pick it up with a magnet. The range I go to has a magnet on a pole, for picking up steel casings. I...

    Possible Wolf supply chain interruption?

Even if they do, I doubt this conflict will last long enough to cause a serious delay. Granted I don't know much about either side, or the history between the two. I do know that Russia has been spending a lot of money on their military lately. It would be idiotic for them to be buying...

    Possible Wolf supply chain interruption?

All surplus 7.62x 39 and 7.62x54R are steel cased. Every once in a while one finds a brass cased round. I assume that the 5.45x39 is also steel cased. The wolf factories are the former government owned factories that were privatized in the wake of soviet union's collapse.

Gun "Cache" found in northeast US?

Did anyone see the supposed sawed off shotgun? I ask because the media is notorious for its gun ineptitude. What if the stock was sawed-off, or the barrel AND the stock? Would this not be legally defined as a pistol? Or am I wrong on this? If this is the case, the only law he has broken...

    Another UK cop shoots himself

I blame society, and lack of parenting. Maybe if we give them all hugs, and loving homes it would stop?

    would you buy a PT1911

My friend has one. I am very impressed with it, considering the price. It is pretty accurate (sorry didn't measure any groupings). The tolerances on the gun are tight, even to where it is difficult to field strip the first time. If you don't mind heine sights, and the stupid hammer lock then...

Civilian Army a backdoor dismemberment of the 2nd Amendment

What is that El Tejon? I have never heard of anything like that.

Not a lifelong gun owner. Who of us started when older?

I only had experience with shotguns until the age of 20. After shooting handguns and rifles, I found that I enjoyed them. This, however, was not the main reason I started buying. My first gun was Springfield 1911 .45 acp. I bought this shortly before my 22nd birthday. The reason I bought...

Civilian Army a backdoor dismemberment of the 2nd Amendment

It depends on the rules governing the membership of the civilian army. If this membership is limited in anyway (i.e. physical requirements, age requirements, etc) then this argument would be against the 2nd. If the army membership had no prerequisites, and even had the authority to conscript...

So...just when is it acceptable to pull your gun?

I think that the setting changes the rules here. 1. You are at the mall. You notice some thug-looking kid follows you out to the parking lot. He/she then starts baiting (gotta cig?), and continues to approach after you tell them to stop. It is broad daylight and there are soccer moms on...

People who enjoy hunting intelligent mammals...

Just because a black widow/fish doesn't express emotion the same way a deer does, does not mean they don't feel the same emotion necessarily. I agree that insects are lower forms of life compared to more complex species, but insects perform very important environmental services (just like...

    movie,lord of war

Exactly. I was watching this movie with a fence-sitter liberal type, and I found myself surprise by his comment at this scene. It was something along the lines of "what difference does it make if the BG's use ak-47's or machete's? They're dead either way." Now he wants to get a pistol, for...

    Gun shops owned by "Antis?"

One the surface this appeared to me to be profiting from anti sentiments. But then I started thinking (very dangerous for me). The only type of people that are gonna use this service are the widow types that are left with grandpa's guns. Say an older gentleman recently dies, and leaves behind...

What have you done for your Country today?

What about those of us who aren't members, but donate anyway? :D BTW I donated $50 to the NRA today (pure $50 donation, none went for a membership fee or anything).

    Printing while concealed?

I was really nervous and self-conscious about this when I first began carrying. I was sure someone would see the buldge in the summer, at first I actually only carried in the winter. Later I started realizing that people don't pay attention at all to their surroundings. If you are in a...

1911 Slide won't come off during disassembly

You should be able to, I can on mine. The main reason I asked earlier is sometimes mine causes trouble during reassembly, I figured yours was have the opposite effect. Easy test for this one. When the slide is locked back (obviously before you starting field stripping) could you see the...

1911 Slide won't come off during disassembly

Ok if you removed the slide stop, I am going to assume that the safety is off. Does the this have the full length guide rod? If so, have you removed it? Mine sticks sometimes because the hammer catches on part of the slide... I know that this probably wont help a lot, but it's all I have...

Officer Shot By Partner During Pit Bull Attack

I think the poster was not saying anything about one gender vs. another, simply pointing out that there is a liability for firing minorities that do not exist for other groups of people.
