    Ontario Knife Co. SOLD

All the employees were fired and the factory closed. Blue Ridge doesn't manufacture anything. They bought the name and will move production overseas. The folder knives were already made in Taiwan. Ontario is now just name to be stamped on low priced knives just like Schrade, S&W, and Gerber.

    Springfield 2020 rimfire

Stamped Retay Made in Turkey on the gun. Look at the photo about half way through the review. https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2023/07/24/rimfire-report-2020-rimfire-springfield/

about " starting bid and reserve price" in Gunbroker.com

The reason to have a reserve price instead of just making that the starting price is they hope to create buyer interest with a lower starting price and get a bidding war going. Most buyers hate high starting prices and just don't bid at all. Even if that starting price is where the final price...

New Rock Island 1911A1 .45 ACP

RIA probably had some left over frames from the version they made for Taylors so they just added the sunburst grips and called it an "exclusive"

Stupid questions about the Shield EZ

The EZ models are single-action only. You just cannot see the cocked hammer because it is internal. No way to manually decock other than by pulling trigger on an empty chamber.

    5.7x28 pistol?

Palmetto State Armory just advertized their AAC brand for $29.99 a box. Sold out in minutes so we''ll see if the price goes up.

A modern 9mm levergun, yes you read this correctly

Lever action with a detachable magazine is not new. Browning and Henry currently make them. Winchester made one in 1895. But this thing is a fail on so many levels. Quad rail, heavy barrel, muzzle break, proprietary magazine, exposed screws on the receiver, the steep angle of the grip, and $1900!

Best 10mm auto loader (not Glock)

All fine choices, but the new champ has arrived. Hi Point just announced a 10mm pistol. 49 ounces of zinc goodness.

    New 870?

The new Fieldmaster is basically the Express but with a few cosmetic improvements. They are calling them Fieldmasters to establish a defined break with the old company's products. If it's an Express it is the old company and RemArms won't cover warranty, etc. No need to look at serial numbers.

Savage now in the 1911 market

I still haven't seen any actual proof that Springfield is manufacturing the Hi-Powers and not just doing final assembly. The fact that they are having so much trouble delivering them to stores leads me to suspect they just being assembled from imported parts.

Why I Will Never Buy Another Winchester

Winchester is just a brand name now not an actual company. I would still buy the SX4 semiauto shotgun. It is basically the same as the Browning Silver and is still a quality product.

Is the gun market down currently?

You are just noticing this now? Inventory has reached glut levels. The price of firearms and ammo has been in free fall for a year. Most shops won't take ARs or polymer pistols on consignment because they are sitting forever. I just bought brass case 9mm for $11.99.

Why I Will Never Buy Another Winchester

The Winchester 1300 has been out of production since 2006 and was produced by US Repeating Arms Company which went bankrupt.

Savage now in the 1911 market

Savage recently started selling a pistol called the Stance. It is a rebranded Honor Defense.

    Bul Cherokee 9mm pistol

I would look for this Bul version. Same basic CZ clone but with short grip/long slide design which is the opposite of what companies are making today.

    Zenith Firearms ZF-5 American MP5

Just so people understand Zenith used to sell MKE built guns. They had a falling out with MKE and are now selling USA built models. Are the people saying they have a Zenith talking about the old model or new ones?

    Pardner 12 gauge

Those single shot break opens have a lot more recoil than a Remington 870 because they are so light.

    Remington 783 Yay or Nay?

The 783 was based on the Marlin XL7. It is in the same budget category as the Savage Axis and Ruger American. Can't really think of a reason to choose the 783 over the Savage or Ruger
