I currently use a Sendero SF in 7mm Remington Magnum as my long range deer rifle. It is a heavy 26" barrel, so it isn't something you'd want to spot and stalk with, but it shoots Barne's TSX's as well as i could ask a factory rifle to do. 1/2" 3 shot groups are the norm from a rest at 100 yards.
One of the local gunshops has a Sako AIII in 270 winchester for sale, and I have a few questions.
The owner had it rebarrelled with a Douglas barrel; Isn't Sako known for their excellent barrels?? Who shoots a .270 enough to have it rebarreled??
Should the Douglas barrel have any markings...
Over the course of the next year I am considering going out west to hunt, I have never traveled anywhere to hunt and I have a few questions for those of you with experience in this field....
How to find a good guide??
How to find a good price/quality hunt?
Are there any special do's and...
Based solely on past experiences, and my humble opinions, I would take the Leupold. It isn't that there is anything wrong with the Bushnell Elites, I have just had great success with Leupold scopes, I currently own 6 of them, they sit atop All of my rifles. I currently own Vx-II's and...
So today I take my father out to Clark Brothers in Warrenton Va to pick up a scope mount for his turkey gun, and while browsing the racks I find a 6" model 29.
Now some of you may know that I have been looking for a model 29 for quite some time and it never seemed to work out. Well I ask...

What is so wrong with Tiberius' statement???
I am really trying to see your side of the story, but I just don't get your argument. Had I known that they no longer allowed concealed weapons at the show, I may not have gone, but why is it ok for a gun show to ban concealed...
I really have no issue for a weapon that may be sold or traded, my problem comes from my personal CCW, that which I have absolutely no intention of displaying or selling.
Perhaps the sign should be amended to read-
All guns to be sold or traded must be cleared and tagged prior to entrance...
This morning, against my better judgement, I make the trek to the Dale City Virginia gun show to see if I can find a 6" model 29. As I start to walk in to the VFW building, I see a sign that reads-
Attention concealed carry permit holders, you may carry your gun into the show, but it must be...
My father won the 2003 sponsor gun from the NWTF banquet this year, and gave it to me as a christmas gift.
It is the 30 year anniversary shotgun, available only to sponsors.
It is a Winchester 1300 w/ 28" barrel, (3) choke tubes, a beautiful wood stock, and gold NWTF 30yr anniversary...

I have to disagree there, I have several Leupold scopes, some VX-IIs and some Vari-X 3s, and the Vari-X 3s have the easiest power adjustment dials of most scopes I've seen. I have yet to have any trouble with moisture or dirt getting in to any of them
Winchester 1300-NWTF 30 year anniversary shotgun
Leupold Vari X 3 3.5-10x40
Some 45 ACP Ammo
Galco gun belt
Bladetech IWB for 1911
New fillet knife
Wyoming knife
I think that is all the gun related stuff
Thanks for the fast reply.
I have found a nice gun in my area for an excellent price, and was hoping to be able to shoot 45 colt, since I already have 45acp's
