i've had it apart and cleaned and oiled it good, was very dirty when i got it. i've tried remington golden, cci blazer, federal bulk, and they all act the same. it seams to stop just before the striker catches, which is also just short of another round being lifted enough to chamber.
i have a sears branded savage 187a .22lr that short cycles. it shoots and cycles back far enough to almost reset the striker assembly, then goes forward. any help would be great.
thanks guys, found the problem. whoever had this gun before him, completely took apart the trigger group, and lost one of the main spring guide pins. thanks again
Ok, lets try this again. my brothers new-to-him 500, dosent release the bolt after it has been fired. is there something in the bolt that i should be looking at, or in the trigger group, for the problem??
i have my brothers mossberg 500ab that he got for xmas, it needs a good cleaning. after you shoot it, the action dosent release, you have to press the realease button, to eject the spent shell, and load another. is this normal??
my marlin 60 spits the empties out a few feet away. how clean is the action? if stuff is coming out with the empties, then to me, it sounds like it could use a good cleaning.
