I'm in the process of filling out a Form1 for an SBR and space #5 asks:
"Applicants Federal Firearm's License (if any), give complete 15-digit number"
Is there a consensus on if a C&R FFL should be listed in that space or is it best to leave it blank?

I've been trying to disassemble my Ruger MkII, but once I drop the hammer and flip out the lever on the bottom of the main spring housing, I cant get the housing to pull out of the grip frame.
It's 100% stuck, a little wiggle room to the sides, but it remains flush with the frame regardless...

Sorry if this is a dupe, I searched for the NWJT moniker and found no threads.

Very interesting insight into the thought process of another gunnie when the poo hits the fan.

DC is at it again, they have replied to Heller's response to their petition for cert in the Supreme Court.
Here's the briefing and their attorney's blog about it.
For a good laugh during lunch, from page 5 & 6:
Page 7:
I wonder how many people have been charged under 7-2507.02 for having...

This case and Heller (if accepted) would have their rulings released right as the election gets hot next year, definitely something to keep an eye on.

I recieved the January 2007-dated (nobody said the ATF was quick...) FFL Newsletter yesterday.
The second section was the most interesting:
I couldnt find an electronic version of the newsletter online, but all FFLs should have either recieved it already or will recieve it shortly.

Original story
Very interesting.
But, see the bolded portion, his wife called to ask if he voted for himself since the count was zero, wouldn't that mean his own wife didn't vote for him? :neener:

I remember some talk (that came about during Jim March's digging) about corruption and some sheriffs handing out reserve deputy status to campaign donors.

I ordered a Taurus 65 and Taurus 650, both in stainless almost 7 weeks ago, but the dealer is saying they still havent arrived. He has said that Taurus no longer ships spent casings with every gun, so they have to be special ordered from Florida (where Taurus's US-based facility is located)...
I ran into FN showing off the SCAR series of rifles at the big annual Army trade show today, nice weapon, I really liked the adjustable cheekpiece on the stock, but didnt like how the stock barely changes LOP (since it both extends and folds, it can only extend about 2").
I asked their booth...
I picked up my safe/RSC today (14 gun Sentry model 5241), and am looking for a few accesories.
First, I'd like to put some rope lights on the inside of the safe. Where can I find this stuff? Can I cut it to the length I need, or do I have to deal with the whole length of it?
Second, I'd...
I'm considering placing a gunsafe in an area under my stairs, below's a picture to explain how I'm considering doing it. Currently, the entire area is unused, so both the closet and safe's alcove will be built at the same time. I think the installation could either be from the gun room in with a...
I was wondering what was happening with Raich (intrastate medical marijuana vs federal laws on interstate commerce) and decided to do some googling, this page turned up and I found it interesting (and pretty recent, it was posted today):

The MD-IBIS Progress Report #2, on ballistic fingerprinting in MD, was completed in September, and its even worse than the first.
Here's the final recommendation:
Maybe we need another letter-writing campaign to get Gov Ehrlich to circular file this waste of resources? And, who wants to...
MidwayUSA's page for Speer .30 168gr indicates:
Would that be a good bullet for use on mid-Atlantic white-tails? I thought a soft-point was needed, but I cant find any 168gr SP's for use in my .308 700P. Has anyone given them a try on any game?

I've come to look at the Tasco Super Sniper line of scopes to top my Remington 700P in .308, with my main focus being on the 10x42 setup. (the Leupold Mark 4 I previously wanted is just too far outside my price range, as I need to save as much as possible so I can buy a house in June)
Is a...
A reporter from WBAL11 here in Maryland did a short, very unbiased blurb on the AWB expiration:
A rep from Valley Guns (Parkville, MD) was interviewed, he pulled out a preban Colt AR15 (A1 guards, birdcage, bayonet lug, fixed stock, he explained it was made before the ban and was still...
I stopped by a new store on the way to the range today and noticed a used, blue 4" Taurus 65 .357 for $175. This store's really out in the sticks of MD, I was absolutely shocked at the (relatively) low prices, the old dudes running the shop definitely arent trying to buy an island with their...
Well, it turns out that all chain stores in the area have stopped carrying the Rem 700 VS I've been searching for, they've even gone so far as to remove them from their special order books. And none of the local gun & pawn shops (why are there so many of those around a US Army Fort?) have one...
