    38 Supers in a 357 revolver? What?

For the video: The bullet itself was a 38 super projectile loaded into a .357 magnum case...it was NOTan actual .38 super cartridge. FYI

    H&K ownership poll.

I currently own a USP45, USP9, HK45 and P30. They are all expensive but I consider them to be worth it. If you want a polymer hammer fired auto pistol they are the best available. HK has excellent quality control, tests their guns extensively and they are almost without compare when it...

Kimber vs Ed Brown vs Dan Wesson

My conclusions for owning a Valor and Vbob ans spending a fair time around forums with other Dan Wesson owners is that Dan Wesson is capable of putting out a pistol that matches the likes of more expensive 1911's. But they do not spend the amount of time hand fitting(as mentioned in the Severns...

Kimber vs Ed Brown vs Dan Wesson

Here is a recent topic where Dave Severns of Severns Custom goes through several 1911's including the FBI Springfield and Dan Wesson Valor and does an accuracy test at 25 yards. http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=321236

    What's the CZ attraction ?

Over 1 million CZ-75 variants have been produced since 1975. I only have one CZ-75B but clued a friend in on them that who has since purchased many CZ models. Concerning the CZ-75B you basically have a rock solid, all-steel, reliable, very comfortable, very accurate, handsome, hi cap 9mm...

Do you like Dick's Sporting Goods?

Dick's, Scheels, Cabela's, Gander Mountain, etc. are all high priced. They all basically charge full MSRP on guns. The only way to get a deal is to watch for sales, wait for coupons or join some member club and build up points. Cabela's seems to be the best for having sales on their guns.

Council Bluffs, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska: Make yourselves heard!

Funny you mention that powderific, I was thinking the same thing. Moved to Omaha last year and have only been to the bullet hole but I'd prefer an outdoor range especially for rifles since its no FMJ rifle ammo at the Bullet Hole.

    NUTNFANCY gun reviews

If you want to see good youtube videos go look at hickock45. I'd rather watch someone shoot well than blab on and on for an hour about his opinions on a gun that he doesn't even own sometimes.

    Is Colt Dead?

If (big if) Colt comes out with any new handguns they will be entirely new, and designed to be made using 21st century manufacturing technology. They will most likely be autoloaders, have polymer frames, stamped lockwork and CNC machined slides. They will never look back. Oh, and a single new...

    Is Colt Dead?

Many of you are still talking like its still 2001. I could write a page on how Colt has been making a comeback since standing on the edge of oblivion but its pretty obvious if you are actually paying attention to what Colt is doing and has been doing.

    Is Colt Dead?

All this talk of old Colt designs... I would imagine that if there was such a market for these pistols and revolvers than somebody else would already be a making them. I can't imagine that Colt's patents on these old designs are still in effect. Colt makes 1911's, AR15's and SAA...

I'm 24 and my favorite handgun is the Single Action Army with the 1911 coming in 2nd.

I'm thinking about buying a good Bullwhip!

Did you by chance watch "More Extreme Markmen" on the History Channel on Sunday night? I ask because they had a real bull whip expert on the show and he was amazing to watch.

Transfers: Why the charge when receiving from other dealers but not distributors?

The OP question was answered. I've never been in an gun shop that didn't do FFL transfers which leads me to believe that A)It makes them money(Either directly from the transfer or indirectly from other sales from the customer entering the shop) and B)Its not some terrible process filled with...

Any FFLs here do NOT do transfers?

 If its too much of a hassle for $25 then raise it to $50 or whatever you want to make it "worth your time". Or decide where you want to make your money. Every business owner has small and large margin goods. Go to a grocery store. They are making 50%-60% profit on that...

    New Vaquero or USFA Rodeo?

Take a look at the Rodeo II. It has a satin nickel finish and charcoal blued small parts. I think they look a better than the standard Rodeo. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=121411369

Which SSA and why is Colt so expensive

Yeah, the finish is a lot of the cost. This can be seen with the USFA Rodeo. Same exact gun just a matte blue finish and it costs around $300+ less than a blued and CCH USFA. I've had recent Colt's and USFA's. I still have the USFA's.

Which SSA and why is Colt so expensive

I guess I don't buy that you are just paying the for the Colt name. Why does USFA cost $800+ and why does the STI Texican cost over $1000+?(Both American made) Just the "name"? Also Colt Manufacturing Company isn't exactly rolling over in cash. If they had such an enormous margin of...

Geez, how back-stabbing are some people?

I've never been price gouged because I never pay the high price that some ask. In general I dislike these threads. You can basically map out the entire thread. Original poster talks about price gouging. The following posts are a combination of "Yeah that is gouging!" and "Its called supply...

New Puma lever guns/shotguns for 2009

Given the popularity of "military" style rifles and given the success of the GSG-5 (MP-5 .22 clone) I would expect to see a influx of military style .22 rifles. The explosion in the cost of ammo will also help. To think that just a few years ago I remember seeing 7.62 WOLF for as low as $70...
