What is wrong with the Charter Arms Bulldog?

Haunting the revolver boards on various forum, it seems there is a market that exists that just isn't being met by the offerings of todays manufacturers. This market wishes for a revolver that carries like a J-Frame and hits like an N-Frame. Specifically wanted is a 2-3"BBL revolver with usable...

Cook County Residents! 11+Rnd Magazines = "Assault Weapon", Turn them In!

I can't believe there has been so little public attention paid to this "tweak" of the Cook County Assault weapon bill. Watching what little news coverage of this bill presented gave the impression that only the definitions were changed to prevent gun makers from skirting the law...

    Ruger Gold Labels Arrive

After years of delays, our shop just got it's first two Ruger Gold Label SxS scatterguns. They are the English stocked, with thin splinter forends. Good fit and finish of the wood to metal parts, bank vault lockup. The light barrels and thin wristed stock make for a very neutral balance, and...

A coworker expressed interest in getting a Ruger .454 Super Redhawk for his big bore DA revolver needs, mainly hunting deer and informal target use. His big concerns involves locktime and inertia of the hammer during single action fire. While that should mean little when shooting from a rest at...

SIG 1911 GSR- Ultra Mini Range Report

Last night I got to put a very limited amount of rounds through a sample GSR SS. It showed excellent fit and finish, and the slide traveled smoothly yet with no play, similar to a Springfield TRP. The slide, while decidedly Sig inspired, looked appropriate and businesslike on the railed frame...

    Walther P88 Grips?

Anyone know where one can obtain replacement or aftermarket grips for the Walther P88 Fullsize? At Walther's suggestion I tried Earl's Repair and they had none available. I've seen Nills but they are rather high priced and vary a great deal from the factory plastic stock panels.
