I was pro gun control right up until the King Riots
Seeing the police unable/unwilling to stop the rioters was one thing. Seeing Reginald Denney dragged from his truck and murdered(I know he somehow survived) on live tv changed it all for me.
A properly designed 140 .264 bullet is lights out
On any deer or elk sized game. The 160 gr varieties are for bigger/tougher game and come at seriously reduced velocity.
Legacy sports Howa
A carbon copy of the Weatherby Vanguard series.
Also the Steven's 200 which is the Savage 110 bargain basement, no frills that shoots better than most out ther. Also, the steven's begs for you to swap things out you may not like.
The Colt is easier to shoot
Not much that a 250 grain bullet at 850 fps can't take care of. The .44 gives you more energy, but for what? Excessive blast and recoil. Not all of us are into getting smacked around.
Designed as a dual purpose weapon
It really seems to perform either function very well. One day it might be some kind of collectors item due to it's unusual nature and absolute but ugliness. Save your money and buy anything else.
I ran into their policy over a Beretta Stampede
Single action revolvers are exempt form our state's ridiculous Handgun Drop Safety Test(Ironic to say the least). Despite this they refused to sell it to me because they were teaching the state of california a lesson.
Piss on 'em. They played...
It says 'right to keep and bear arms'
Nowhere in the ammendment does it mention anything about shooting anyone. If I'm going to be confronting a trespasser who is doing so to commit a crime at three o'clock in the morning it is my right to do so while bearing arms.
If I shoot siad person...
Blacksmoke
The Vaquero is nothing more than a blackhawk without the adjustable sights. They are a great, strong, durable design capable of pretty much double the pressures of the .45 Colt in standard loadings. They are also very heavy. To really get the most out of that potential it would...
It does seem to conjure up specifics
First .357 I spent any time around was a Smith and Wesson 66 4", Don't have a .44 magnum, but the Super Blackhawk always comes to mind when it comes up.
Probably the M-1 Carbine
The handgun is a defensive weapon. The M-1 carbine was an attempt to get an effective defensive weapon into the hands of Officers and REMF's during WWII. It turned out to be quite a success.
Just trying to stir the pot:neener:
Men aren't that much more complex than amoeba's
We don't have that many triggers. Good looking women certainly is one of the main ones. Throw a pint of ale(not a good message around firearms) or some exotic machinery into the mix and you will attract your target audience.
I'd agree with Toivo
I think it's pretty much an urban/rural kind of mindset. People that live in cities rely on a whole alphabet soup of agencies to provide everything from protection to waste disposal for them. The thought of actually being responsible for their own problems is kinda...
Can't really explain it though
Was going to join my brother and his high school buddies shooting on top of a bluff. I was directly behind them by some thirty or forty yards and in a creek bottom. Something whacked me on the top of the head. It stung, but didn't make me see stars or anything...
This method has been popular in the past
Sign up Rosie O'Donnell, Diane Feinstein and other notable elitests as members. Nothing says ironic better than to have them deny they are members when, in fact, they are.
Don't overlook the Swede
Harder to find than most other calibers. Low recoil, accurate and is just as deadly on game as cartridges that pack a lot more muzzle energy.
What does your gut tell you?
If you think it might be a 'Tell tale heart' kind of thing then pass it up.
Many wouldn't have a problem as it is just an object.
