My AR-15 is an assault rifle. I bought it in case I have to assault an intruder or enemy of my family.
I mean, my friends assualt rifle. I don't own one.
Well, seeing as how the family is one of my neighbors, I'll ask them what their gun education was. The town is abuzz wondering what happened, and this is about as PRO GUN as a small Utah city can get. I'll keep this thread updated if I hear anything on the ground here.
Very interesting that lower velocity rounds shoot higher on target. I didn't know that.
The ultra-high speed mechanics of gun functions are fascinating to me. The video of the bullet leaving the barrel is awesome, I can clearly see the muzzle start to rise, even if it was only a fraction of a...
You're missing out on the Gun Counter employees at Sportsmans Warehouse saying that "Obama has a law that is going to ban all guns, it's already drafted and ready to enforce on inauguration day."
Yeah I realize newtons law is in effect, but I was curious as to say, what is the distance the barrel climbs in the time it takes for the bullet to clear the end of the barrel. A few nanometers?
Some really, really dirty math and I figured that a bullet from a 9mm could clear a 3" barrel in...
EXTREME = The exact same as the regular version, but the packaging uses a font called "cracked, stained, messy" or some variant. Also, include a bright colored stroke and a hefty dropshadow.
I have a general, non political gun question!
It's simple - has the bullet cleared the end of the barrel before there is significant recoil movement? For instance, if we had a super super slow motion camera, could we view the bullet leaving the barrel before the gun appears to recoil back...
It's a strange phenomenon, price gouging.
In the time of crisis for gun owners, gun sellers see this is a chance to exploit their customer base and maximize profits. But how many of the gun sellers are also gun owners?
Profiteers cashing in on baseless fear.
That's all it says on it. Got a bunch of patent stamps from the early 1900's, but I can't find anything other than a serial number and the "MODEL II-A" on it. Looks old as hell, but might have just been exposed to the elements too much.
Any idea what this could be? I can take pictures, but it's...
When asked these sorts of questions, I usually just give them my honest answer, it's easier than trying to be clever.
"I enjoy guns and it's a hobby that makes me happy."
I can't think of a better reason to own something, and it's an answer that can be argued with because... wait for it...
I think everyone misinterprets what the "your own gun used against you" is supposed to imply.
I think what it means is that between a criminal who is jonesing for another rock hit, who has already assaulted and robbed dozens of people in his life, has probably been to prison, has probably...
If you're OCing, why not just say "no, it's a real gun" and leave it at that? Seems like you invited on more and more questions and comments by being coy and evasive.
