    Bayonet/melee training?

I apologize if this thread is in the wrong forum. I wouldn't have thought that discussing the alternate use of a firearm as designed would qualify for a non-firearm forum, since the weapon in question was meant to be used in this manner in close quarters. Feel free to delete this thread if it's...

    Bayonet/melee training?

Thank you for the replies. I don't know why wanting to know how to properly use the tools one has at their disposal is so odd to some of you, but I suppose that there's always someone out there who doesn't like to learn. In my situation, I don't own a shotgun or pistol, and there's a good chance...

    Bayonet/melee training?

I'd love to have a handy little carbine, but I'm trying to work with what I have until I find a job again and can buy something better. I don't even have any pistols left. I have a machete, a scout scoped M44, and a 91/30. The 91/30 seems like the best option.

need a gun thats not in a common caliber.

I think 30-30 would be a sound choice. Ballistically similar to 7.62x39, and lever action rifles are handy, fire almost as fast as a semi-auto, and are low on the list of potentially banned weapons. Capacity is generally pretty good, too.

    Bayonet/melee training?

I'd like to learn how to use my 91/30 as a melee/CQB weapon. I have no idea where to even start. I have a friend who runs a Ving Tschun Kung Fu school, and I know that they have a staff fighting discipline that may be similar in some ways, but perhaps not ideal. Anyone have any pointers?

    S&W Victory model questions?

It's marked .38 S&W Special on the barrel. I'll have to take a measuring tape to it, but if the OPs pistola is a 4", this one appears to be a 5". the only alterations I can really see are the missing lanyard loop and the nickel plating. my instinct was to offer between $100-150.

    S&W Victory model questions?

friend of mine has a revolver out in his garage. knowing that I'm into old guns, and neither him nor his family are very interested in handguns, he's offered to sell it to me. in looking at it today, I at first thought it was a 50's or 60's Model 10, until I noticed the serial number has a V...

    .310 vs. .311: close enough??

LOL! I just had this pop up in my e-mail as a reply to a subscribed thread. of course, since 2005 I've sold the PSL, my Enfield came to me with a #3 bolthead and excessive headspace, and I still haven't bought my reloading equipment. though I'm definetely picking some up in the next few weeks...

    Lightweight AR barrel?

+1 for CMMG. I've got a 16" middy lightweight barrel from them, and it's truly light as a feather.

Poll:Should the 2nd Amendment Truly Not Be Infringed In Any Way?

I've been thinking about the "tank argument" lately. tanks (and AV-8B Harriers) are very expensive. fueling and loading them even more so. also, murder is illegal, regardless of the weapon. if you could afford to purchase an M1A1 Abrahms, and were able to afford fueling it and loading it...

    I "need" a Saiga 12 ga. I think...

well, you'll have to cut the barrel down to 12", install a compensator, a FAL grip, collapsible stock, modify the firing group to allow full auto as well as semi, pop an ACOG on it, and install a 40mm grenade launcher under the barrel. don't forget the 20-round drum mags. you could call...

    H&K USP *Pocket* Holster

I've had an Uncle Mike's pocket holster for my 642 for years. works great, keeps the pistol upright, and stays in the pocket when you draw. I have to say though, you must be a true mountain of a man to be able to CCW a pistol that size in your front pocket! wow!

    re-barrel a No.4 Mk.I?

well, I took it to my smith last night. barrel is fine at the muzzle, at least it checks out fine using a surplus round. headspace is pretty bad, though. I can't quite make out what number the bolt face is. the number on it was not struck square, and all I can see is the curved part, so it's...

If you were to magically add a RKBA to some country´s constitution, which one?

I'd have to say.... Chicago or New York. yes, I know the OP said countries, but I'd love to live in both those cities, except for the fact that they seem to operate under the laws of some other country.

WOW! Chinese "Education" About American Gun Ownership

well, I'm a bachelor, and I own 9 guns, but I don't own a single "hunting" gun, as I've never been hunting. I do have a few that could conceivably be used for hunting, though.

    re-barrel a No.4 Mk.I?

well, I'm sure it needs more work than just re-bedding the handguards. I wouldn't think it would be keyholing at 50 yds if it was just a minor problem. I'm just a little peeved that I paid AIM extra to get the micrometer sights, and then find that it won't even stabilize the bullet. of course...

    re-barrel a No.4 Mk.I?

I just called a smith I used to deal with. I'll drop it off tomorrow. I've been meaning to get into handloading, and if the bore is just too larger for the ammo I used, this will push me towards actually doing it. I'll see what the 'smith says.

    re-barrel a No.4 Mk.I?

so, a while back, I got an Enfield No.4 Mk.I with my C&R. took it to the range, fired a box of Remington commercial .303. looked at the target. target looked like an aerial photo of the Spanish Armada! this from only 50yds at the Bass Pro Shops range. maybe my barrel is too big for the...
