Excellent rebate experience with Bond Arms

I have disdain for rebates as I have been burned too many times by them in the past. However, Bond does them right! I filled out their form and had the rebate in hand a week later which included time to mail it and a weekend in the middle. They handle their own rebates so it's not sent to...

Range report on Taurus 327 in .327 Magnum

First trip to the range with it. I did replace the front sight with an Ameriglo Ti night sight from Taurus before the range trip though. Excellent deal from Taurus for $30 and easy to change out via a roll pin. I don't think the sight change affected me shooting low with it for several loads...

    Ordering magazines from Canada

Not sure if this is best in legal or rifle forum. I have one of the imported from china .22LR bolt actions NS 522's which were made years ago. In Canada, they have magazines and the rifles of model, Scorpio EM332A. Those EM 322 mags should fit the 522 (with a little work). They are 10rd...

    New Signal Pistols book

This thread came up yesterday and I was able to help another member out with a pretty tough question; Unknown set of grips. Any ideas? | The High Road Don't want to take all the credit though as the new book from Rick Landers & Ian Skennerton helped me narrow down my guess quickly. The book is...

Taurus 327 model revolver (in 327 mag)

So, as they are now around $400 I think I "need" one. Wanted the 3in model but those don't seem to have come to market. Does anyone have first hand experience with the new Taurus 327 model? I'll likely shoot more 32 mag in it than anything. Really wanted the Charter "Professional" but they...

Taxed 37 times the cost of an item on Gunbroker

Yes, this is an extreme case, I know. Won a set of grips for a penny on GB. Shipping was $6. Tax and their new fee ended up being 37 cents, so 37 times the cost of the item in taxes/fee. I did not think tax applied to shipping charges. Is that new or just how GB does it? Also, when did used...

    Positive Henry Customer Service Experience

Bought a Henry lever rifle in .327 recently. Chamber seemed out of spec as it was cracking new, factory ammo about 1/4 in from the case mouth in a semi circle. Did the warranty form online, got a label from them, packed it up and took to UPS. Had it back (with shipping time) in about 1.5...

    Scoping a Zoli EX80 rifle

Hello, hoping someone can help me who knows this rifle and has scoped it in the past. Or, is sure of the way to do so. 4 screws across the top rib but I'm having a hard time confirming the right mount for it. Also, referred to as their Leopard model. Thanks in advance!

    US Made Range Bag Suggestions

Mine has served me for many years but it (and I) are getting a bit long in the tooth. So, looking for a new one(s). Leaning towards 2 smaller ones as if I am not careful I get this one packed way too heavy. Have a nice Tactical Tailor ammo can carrier which is great as it allows me to should...

Gun and knife places in Kentucky

We'll be doing a road trip through most of KY this summer. Big circle coming in from Charleston, WV to Lexington, Louisville, Owensboro, Bowling Green and then back out through Charleston. Are there any "must see" gun and/or knife things in central KY one should see while there? Thanks in...

Why so many Italian made clones?

I am NOT attacking the Italian makers but was wondering today what the turn of events were that created such an Italian manufacturing base for clones of US made firearms. How did this come about and why? Thanks in advance for helping me with this pondering.

Where to buy a Freedom Arms

Are there stocking dealers I should look at for a Freedom Arms? Want a 4.5in 44SPC M97. They don't seem to be real common so I may need to order direct. If you have done that please let me know any advice you have and how that process goes. Thanks in advance!

Does Lyman alox bullet lube go bad?

I have 5 or 6 tubes of the Lyman alox lube, new, in the tube; https://www.lymanproducts.com/brands/lyman/bullet-casting/bullet-lubes/alox-lube I figure it is 10yrs old. Looks great but has been in a barn so exposed to heat and cold over the years. Should I buy new or give it a try? Just got...

Putting a sling on a revolver

So, I have a large .44mag with sling swivels on the barrel and butt. I have never put a sling on it but as I'm getting into shooting it a lot more I'm thinking about giving a sling a try. For those who have done this did you simply use a short rifle sling or something else? Lessons learned...

    Federal primer packaging? Why?!?!!

Sorry, I ponder some things too much. Why does Federal put their primers sideways in their primer packaging? Is that to test our dexterity and ability to pour them everywhere? Also, why is their box (aside from being sideways) 2-3 times larger than everyone else's? Why the little tab in the...

    Why the .44 Special

My Brother is really into them but I am at a loss as to why. Can others give me some insight? I have a stable of revolvers but don't see what the appeal is to the 44SPC. Not bad mouthing it, and maybe I'm missing out on something great in life by passing over that caliber. I handload so...

Source for 245gr 41mag LSWC bullets

I know there is a shortage of everything but I can't even find a maker for said bullet. Is it an old style that has fallen out of favor? Anyone know a maker of that bullet today? Thanks in advance!

Taurus 380 UL revolver take 38SPC WC ammo, or could it?

So, for years I had hoped for a compact 38SPC revolver made to the smallest size possible to take wadcutter ammo only. This would allow the cylinder and frame to be as short as possible. Well, it seems the Taurus 380 UL may be just the thing, or near to this idea. For those who own them, do...
