As far as I'm concerned, the current LEOPA explanation is quite clear. It doesn't need to be altered. ATF clearly tried to ignore the statutes and convince the ignorant that the statutes are unclear.
The only thing that needs to be replaced or altered is the ATF.
The best gun is the one that's on you. I've carried for 7-8 yrs but often found myself leaving the gun in the car or at home for various concealment, clothing, holster issues.
My current best solution is an S&W 442 with a remora holster and I've never carried more consistently and more often in...
I emailed NRA-ILA and told them I would no longer send them money to "defend" my rights unless they demonstrated offensive action against the ATF. The email I received from the NRA claiming responsibility and victory about M855 seemed disingenuous. This seemed more like a grass roots victory...
That's awesome man. You're story made me grin and I'm still grinnin. You must be a stand up guy that works for a stand up company.
Now how bout some pics!!!
Not saying your wrong, but most respected members here will post links to support their claims. Mil-spec parts could mean any number of thousands of things, so if you are going to beat your chest and stand on a soap box, you might want to consider supporting your claims with a little proof.
I think much of their decision was influenced by a few members of congress starting to publicly question ATF's powers. Maybe a few folks began to worry about job security and loss of power? I think that it would be wise for our congressional leaders to continue that endeavor and not just chalk...
They were afraid that their power and/or their existence would be challenged. Best believe if the libs had a majority in congress, this would not have happened. Either way, good news, for now... like TomJ said.
My wife does not carry and has no desire to carry. My 20 y/o step-daughter recently moved out of the house and has been staying with her boyfriend and his family. My wife found out today that she has a had a couple of unsettling encounters with her boyfriend's uncle. Without going into a long...
So I'm a healthcare worker and I occasionally have students that do clinical rotations at my facility and I'm occasionally responsible for being their clinical instructor and mentoring them into the field.
I had a student a couple years ago, nice kid very smart, very respectful. He dropped...
Well at 4oz it certainly isn't a good cleaver. I kinda like it just cause it is different, but I'm not sure it's any more of a kitchen tool than is my Paramilitary
I've been carrying an S&W 442 AIWB in a Remora no clip holster for the last 2 months. I like it. If I knew I was going to be doing something that required an excessive amount of bending, squatting, or other activity, I would switch to my Smart Carry, but for normal walking, sitting, driving...
Doesn't NJ also restrict hollow point ammo? I seem to have some foggy recollection of an out-of-state LEO stopped in NJ for something or other a few years ago and this coming up in discussion.
A good, but unfortunate explanation I read on another forum...
Seems that "intended use" is not really relevant to the verbiage and "armor piercing" is defined by the metal content of the projectile and NOT the "performance" of the projectile. The important factors are the metal content of the...
My guess is that if BATFE goes through with this, it just may create enough attention to itself that may lead to a loss of unilateral power and decision making in the near future.
Nice shootin. My Springfield Loaded does the same thing for me. It's a tack driver and makes me look like a much better shooter than I actually am. I've shared a few magazines with fellow shooters at the range and they often respond with similar enthusiasm after their small groups and...
