If it is legal to carry, then it’s legal. It is a problem if they arrest you and charge you with a some vague crime (here, making terroristic threats) you did not commit just because they don’t like the legal thing you did. If that’s OK, then the law does not matter, you can be arrested for...
So don't engage in a legal act for fear it might be made illegal???? That does not make sense to me.
The elementary school near me scans the drivers license of all visitors who enter. I am told it checks your name against a sex offenders database. I would be happy to show my CHP at the same time.
If it's legal than it's legal. The state can change the law if they want. School employees should not harass law abiding citizens. It sets the precedent that their personal preferences are superior to the law. If allowed to continue it will embolden them to ignore other laws and do as they please.
So legal unless the authorities can find someone who "felt threatened" then a legal activity becomes disorderly conduct. Pointing a rifle at someone could bring far more serious charges, if true. Disorderly conduct is more a "we don't like that legal activity" charge.
Why are some folks in a hurry to come up with some type of "compromise"? Remember that every time you compromise you loose some of your rights. The first time you meet in the middle you loose half your rights. The second time you meet in the new middle you have now lost 75%. And so on!
I wonder what other second amendment commentary is included in the book. If the text of the book explains the meaning of the second amendment consistent with current supreme court opinions, the edit is less offensive. If other commentary is anti-2a or silent, that is more problematic.

Perhaps - and I hope so.
However, it could mean other things as well:
It could mean it is going to be one of those difficult cases with multiple opinions with some Justices concurring in the result but writing their own opinion, or concurring in part and dissenting in part. Such opinions...
State schools can not flat out prohibit guns on campus.
See the attorney general opinion on the matter.
"Governing boards of Virginia’s public colleges and universities may not impose general prohibition on carrying of concealed weapons by permitted individuals. Pursuant to specific grants...
That is correct, but I believe it is specifically illegal to carry at Virginia Commonwealth University. Other than that, it is legal to conceal carry at Virginia public colleges and universities with a permit or open carry (no permit needed), but students and employees a subject to discipline...
Exactly. If you let the only time the masses see a gun is when it is being wielded by a criminal, it makes it much easier to allow the masses to infringe our rights with “common sense” laws.
You will never see a news report that says “100 million guns did not shoot anyone today.”
