What is your Everday carry? Post pictures...

Lately it has been a H&K P7m8 in Milt Sparks VM-2 w/ matching mag/surefire holder with an A2 Aviator flashlight.

When using my progressive, is it normal to feel resistance in the stroke?

I have noticed the same thing on certain dies on my Dillon. It is fine with .357 Magnum but when I switch to .41 Magnum they get very tight and don't want to come out of the case.

    Colt King Cobra

I see what you are saying with the differences in trigger pull. I guess I am just used to S&W so the KC feels more natural. I have only recently picked up the Diamondback and if I find a Python for less than the 14-1600 they were going for at the gun show last weekend I will definitely add it...

    Colt King Cobra

I find my King Cobra to be one of my favorite revolvers. I unfortunately have not had the chance to shoot a Python and I am sure the action is much better but I find the King Cobra double action pull preferable to the double action on my Colt Diamondback.

    41 Magnum Opinions?

With all the .41 Magnum love in this thread I couldn't pass up this Mod-57 Mountain gun at the show today. Now I have two .41 Magnums to load for this weekend

    41 Magnum Opinions?

I have just managed to put 50 rounds through my new to be 80's era Blackhawk since I picked it up but I am sold on the 41 Magnum. I have gathered all of the reloading supplies I need with the exception of the dies which hopefully will be here early next week.

Had my first reloading mishap tonight

I found a brass rod and managed to get the bullet out after a little work. I think I will stick to heavier loads for a while. The 3.0 Grains of Bullseye is not much in a large .357 case and I guess I must have missed one. I appreciate all of the help.

Had my first reloading mishap tonight

I wasn't the one shooting the gun but there was no difference is sound. It is such a light load that with the heavy long barrel there is very little kick so I am assuming that the difference between a proper round and a squib might be minimal. The press is a Dillon 550.

Had my first reloading mishap tonight

Took a box of .357 magnum 147 grn DEWC over 3 Grns of Bullseye to the range tonight. I had already fired over 60 from this batch so I was feeling pretty confident. Loaded up the first 6 rounds and started to site in the adjustable sites on my 686. My buddy fired the first 6 rounds and I...

Some help with a Dillon Powder Measure Please

It turned out to be simple newbie user error. I load for .45 and .357 and I purchased separate toolheads and powder measure for each. I had recently changed for .357 but I did not properly set up the powder fail-safe bar wing nut so the powder bar was not making its full trip as the fail-safe...

Some help with a Dillon Powder Measure Please

Yeah, I have tried several different pull techniques. When I try to keep the pulls very consistent I still get large variances.

Some help with a Dillon Powder Measure Please

I really need some help making this powder measure reliable. I am measuring each pull on a Dillon Eliminator balance scale that I have calibrated. My problem is getting the same amount of powder to drop each time. If it was slight variances I would be okay but I have measured 2 full grains...

Some advice on a newly purchased setup for a newbie

Yeah I got the Dillon Eliminator scale. It is the balance beam scale. It might not be as efficient as a nice digital but I kind of prefer the balance scale to start out with. I might get impatient later and get a digital. I think when I get another couple dies in the near future I will end...

Some advice on a newly purchased setup for a newbie

A shell plate comes with the caliber conversion kits. Is that what you are referring to. I definitely want to get some different powders as I intend to buy additional tool heads/dies/caliber conversions for .223, .300 WinMag and 10mm in the near future. I just don't know if I should get...

Some advice on a newly purchased setup for a newbie

Would you experienced guys mind looking over the gear I have ordered and purchased locally to set up a reloading bench for to begin with .357/38 Special and .45 ACP. I know I need to pick up some primers, a load of .45 cases and some more Powder for .357 Magnum loads but I want to make sure I...

Revolver Picture Thread of All Time

I have pictures of my three new revolvers. Ruger Bisley Blackhawk 5.5" Barrel .357 Magnum I picked up Thursday. Colt King Cobra I picked up Friday when I went to the range to shoot the new Ruger. And finally the S&W 686-2 8 3/8" barrel .357 Magnum I picked up this afternoon.
