Keltec announces RFB ship date (again)

I'd imagine something that costs double what a decent AR-15 costs would have a better trigger. There are plenty of AR aftermarket triggers that are designed for target work, some for $100, others for $300. .75MOA is outside of my abilities, but there are plenty of guns cheaper than the RFB...

Keltec announces RFB ship date (again)

Good post, AJ Dual. A 32" barrel could be most impressive. Who is making the barrels for Kel-Tec? Any real accuracy reports yet?

Keltec announces RFB ship date (again)

Tell us more about the results of your T&E. I'm skeptical about this rifle. Bullpup pro: short package. Bullpup con: trigger. Short barrels are generally preferred for portability and CQB. Longer barrels are generally preferred for the added ballistic abilities. Don't the trigger...

    Home built AR-15 = unreliable?

A loose chamber or one that is chrome lined can cause reliability problems too. Loose chambers can lead to problems if the case cannot fully seal the chamber. Improper chroming can lead to flaking which can cause extraction issues. I also question the OP's mention of "100% of the rifles that...

Keltec announces RFB ship date (again)

So what does this do that a FAL, PTR-91, M1A, AR-10, or LR-308 doesn't do?

    Carry and Tell Poll

Agreed. I'm more upfront up CCW than I am about how many and what types of guns I know. Those questions usually get "I dunno, a few I guess."

    Brake, compensator, and flash hider

What is the difference between a brake, compensator, and a flash hider? Looking at YHM's selection, they offer a few different types that look nearly the same: http://www.yankeehillmachine.com/store/muzzle.html

Should this ammo be labled +P?

Another variable is the method in which they measured velocity. 1" from the muzzle, 6" from the muzzle, 12" from the muzzle? Additionally, did their test barrel have polygonal rifling or traditional rifling? Was the test barrel 4", 6", 12", 16"? What were the atmospheric conditions at...

    who makes the best ar-15

That's only half true. Armalite makes the AR-10, which fires .308 Winchester and similar sized rounds. Their "small" rifle is the M-15. Colt makes the AR-15. Browsing their site, they only come in .223/5.56 and 9mm. Similar, but different.

M1 Garand Youth Stock: A How To (pic heavy)

Somekid, I considered that. But due to the taper of the stock, it would have required some serious sanding. There's also two large holes inside the stock for tool and grease storage which would make gluing the piece together somewhat questionable. And since the grain wouldn't match, I don't...

    Turret for .223?

This assumes that EVERYTHING is set up and that nothing jams, goes wrong, runs out, etc. Searching for a dropped primer for 10 minutes slows things down. Pistol is faster for me, I think because I don't let the press "wait" for the powder charge to drop and seating bullets is easier compared...

Hand loading for the M1 Garand

HXP is generally considered safe for M1s, but reports indicate it's a bit hotter than LC. My M1 likes Greek HXP.

    Turret for .223?

Not including prep and case sizing, if I boogie I can do around 130-150 rifle rounds per minute. Pistol, I'm at 175. If you plan on reloading .223, you'll spend plenty of time removing primer crimp. Also, buy an RCBS X-Die (no need to get small base). The X-Die helps prevent case stretch...
