    Wasr-10

It's not my intent to turn this into an AR vs. AK thread so please don't turn it into one when I ask this question. Would you trade an AR frankenrifle for a WASR? I like my AR and if need be I can always build another but I have to admit, I've always wanted an AK.

    Wasr-10

Which is better overall, the solid stock or folding stock? I can hold both but that tells me nothing about how it feels while shooting it.

    Wasr-10

What can you tell me about the WASR-10? A local store has two of them for sale, one of which has a folding stock. I didn't take a close look at them but the one with the fixed stock has what appears to be a scope mount on the left side of the receiver. Thanks.

    Taurus 65/66 Shoulder Holsters

I recently picked up a Taurus 65/66 and need a good holster. I'm looking for a shoulder holster that's comfortable and concealable. The Taurus is going to be used for a hunting backup but also as a CCW in the winter when wearing a jacket.

Help me value this rifle-Model 1906

The bore is excellent. Other than it sitting in a closet for 50+ years and popping squirrels in the 20's, it's largely untouched.

Help me value this rifle-Model 1906

I have a Winchester Model 1906. It was purchased by my great uncle with money made from building the Panama Canal. It was given to my grandfather who gave it to me some time ago. Specs: Winchester Model 1906 Slide action Chambered for 22 Short Serial 15,xxx puts it as a first year...

    Project 7.62x54R

Sarduy, Does your M44 have a "ribbed" section on the barrel between the receiver and brake or is it a smooth, traditional looking barrel? My T53 is ribbed which is partly why I want to liike the top strap on the handguard.

    Project 7.62x54R

I have a cut down Chinese T53. Before anyone starts, I've measured the barrel and its legal so there are no issues with it being a SBR. Since it is cut down, there isn't a "value" to it so I want to make a project gun out of it. I'm looking for it to be rugged, reliable, accurate and...

Do you prefer WWB or Federal Champion ammo

Choose the one that performs better in your gun. Now that that statements is out of the way, where are you finding Federal cheaper than WWB? If its another store, go for it. If its online, once you figure in shipping and interest rates on your card, it'll be more expensive than WWB. For me...

New .32 ACP Nagant Conversion Cylinder--Range Report

Does anyone know who is still selling these conversions?

    Bad, Bad Day

Well, I went to the local gun shop to pick up a speedloader but they didn't have what I was looking for. As I was walking out, I figured I'd look at their gun counter. Not seeing anything, I was about to walk out with I saw a Nagant tucked into a corner. I've always wanted one so after...

    home defence caliber questions

A .22lr that you are completely confident and competent with will be more effective than a 45acp that you cannot shoot straight or handle. If she likes the PK and shoots it well, then it is effective. Don't fill her head with doubt about the caliber. Just take her to the range and run a few...

Help me pick a new Glock

The only blue label G17's in stock are 4th generation. Are they really that bad or is it just a "They changed my Jeep's headlights to square!!!" type of thing.

Help me pick a new Glock

The reason I'm looking at the Glock over M&P for a full size is the aftermarket. I want something I can tinker with as a hobby and tinker with something that isn't a CCW.

Help me pick a new Glock

I currently have a M&P 9c which I like but I want to add another pistol to my collection. The M&P fits my hand well and is my CCW pistol. The glock would be a full size, range/hunting backup/HD/LEGO pistol. A full size would be more comfortable for long duration range sessions. It would be a...

    How I Perceive the AR-15

My 5 y.o. son walked in just as I pulled the picture up. His comment, "That is a silly gun, daddy". That said, the AR is like a Jeep. You can modify it in hundreds of ways. However, just because you can doesn't mean you should. While I like some of the tacky-cool things on other people's...

    Blown .22 LR case

Mythbusters did something like this whereby they used a 22lr as a fuse for a truck. The case would explode and peel back but nothing would fly more than a few feet. You could throw a 50bmg in a fire (not recommended) and it would go off like a M80 but the bullet wouldn't go screaming down the...

    Hi Point Carbine

Yes, but the rubber buffer that comes with the ATI stock doesn't absorb all of the recoil.
