    Anderson AM-15?

I have one, bought on sale a couple of years ago; mine is the basic M4 format. The gas block was a little canted and since it was going to be used with irons, I leveled it to the top rail- easy fix. All mine gets fed is PMC 55 grain soft point, but it seems to like them. It has never choked...

Henry .357 revolver in the wild

I've always liked fixed sight revolvers and will go hammer and tongs on one to make it shoot to the sights, with the primary bullet weight I'm going to use in it. I also like the Colt Lawman, but discovered its cylinder is too short for some 357 loads I might want to use. The top half of the...

Looking for a Handgun for Work

You will be fine, whatever you choose. I'd find an old skinny barrel S&W Model 10 or a S&W SD40 with the black Melonite slide.

    The Colt 9mm Carbine - A Mini-Review

I've had trigger time on an issue Colt SMG and they were a splendid little squirt gun. I found it more intuitive and easier to hit with than the MP5.

Marlin experts needed- 336TS with 18.5" barrel and no cross bolt safety

1955 Ballard rifled 336SC, 35 Remington; an early Texan as depicted in the ad above. I gas the thirty-five up a little, sat this doe down hard at 135 yards. Marlin completed the changeover of the 336 to micro-groove rifling, sometime in 1956.

Marlin experts needed- 336TS with 18.5" barrel and no cross bolt safety

The 'TS' suffix indicates a Texan (straight grip) model made after the cross bolt safety was added. If the safety is not obviously present, a previous owner my have replaced it with a 'delete kit'. Texans are the only Marlins I will buy, Here's how the whole thing got started, from the July...

    Recommend a Single-Action Revolver

I would only add that if you're going to use it for class demonstrations, you should probably get two; a New Model Ruger and a Colt or direct copy. The manual of arms between them is diverse enough to warrant individual demonstration.

Please stop hunting with 220gr 300 BLK subsonic

If you have ownership of the land in question you have final say with regard to hunting and methods. If you have issues with a particular legal method beyond your property, take take that up with your state's regulatory authority and/or lobby for a change. I've not taken any deer with a...

    Avenging Angels/BP snub nose revolvers

Great thread. I have always liked C&B revolvers and this is just another reason to like them more.
