300blackout
Built mine last February/March with the Stoner hbar carbine barrel. I've put about 600 rounds through it so far and I am impressed with the accuracy. If you are a handloader there is no reason to wait. If you will be using all factory ammo it could get a bit costly. I have found it...
Strange sightings
Not really a strange sighting but an unusual occurance, thank goodness. Sitting in a climbing stand at about 18' bow hunting a favorite central FL. WMA. I had been there since before daylight. About 8:45 I'm hearing what sounds like voices in the distance. They continue and...
Jmorris has it right. Just get it checked when you have a physical or get lab tests every year or two. I reload all my pistol, rifle, and shotgun ammo except Rimfire and shoot 5-10K a year for the last 15 years. I usually wash up at the range afterward but not always. I had them check for lead...
30-06 Classic
That is one beautiful Ruger but if I had my druthers I too would go with a Winchester M70 but I would not hold back too long if a nice A-Bolt or X-Bolt Browning was discovered first. Accuracy wise I've not found anything more accurate out of the box than the X-Bolt.
Sr1911
I've only owned 3- Kimber Pro 1998, hand built from parts, and SR1911 but I have fired and handled many. I'll put the SR1911 up against any of them.
After 14 years the slide lock/thumb safety detent tube had to be restaked.
One of the features of the SR1911 that sold me was the...
X-bolt
I've shot all the above but the CZ.
The Winchester balances best. The Weatherby & the Tikka I did not care for. I own two Rugers(.270&.243) I've carried a Rem. Mod.7 with Timney Trigger for the last twelve years in 7mm-08(elk hunter-wink, wink)
If I were looking for a new rifle, (the...
Well you got me there RC, I wasn't there when it was applied but there was a mostly empty jar of Vaseline on the shelf above it in a brown paper bag. The caked goo that I removed from it resembled ancient Vaseline. I did the old ass-u-me trick again.
The elderly couple were both retired career...
.22RF
A friend bought a house including everything inside. Along with many other items there was an old semi-auto Savage .22RF rifle. It had been fully coated with Vaseline and stored in a closet for over 30 years. The barrel and receiver did not pit but the entire rifle was covered with a fine...
Splits
I keep a few in my case holders that I use the most often on a magnetic strip by my press for two reasons. 1) shows me which case holder is needed for which cartridge, and 2) reminds me how important it is to look my brass over well.
Zero
I'm with rfwobbly, the 124s do it for me but I always bought mine direct from Zero's distributor Rose Dist. They have been out most times in the past 3 years when I needed resupply so I have gone to Delta Precision (another great bullet)for my last 5000. No doubt though Zero's are fine...
Dirty
I would venture to say it's the Titegroup. I use Titegroup on all my handgun loads. The accuracy is amazing but it is a very sootyand/or scorchy powder in all my loads. It is worse in my mild target loads but all loads are rather dirty. I'm on my third 8lb. Jug and when I find it...

10%
Yes, 10% is what I have heard. If in doubt get the Lee reload Manual. Lee covers most every load in lead and jacketed and for the most part it seems to be a recap of what all the powder manufacturer's manuals print.
Many
Many will do the double duty. Varget, RL15, IMR4064, IMR4895 for a few. I've used all those with good groups. Your rifles will tell you what they like best and it may not be the same for each of your two rifles. BL-C2 may be good for both too.
Mixed
You will get a better, more consistent shell by making your own but the shells are not all made alike and some require different loads to maintain the same pressures and velocity. The shell type is a consideration in the recipes. You will also develop a preference for a particular shell...
Lil Gun vs H110
Bangswitch and oldpapps experience matches mine, there is nothing finer in 300 Blk. I just imagine .30 Carbine is great too.
I will mention if you are using an auto powder dispenser/scale combo H110 is too fine for some and will bind up your dispenser.
