Groovski, I agree with that ignorant statement. On NPR this morning reporter stated the gunman was able to shoot quickly because he had those awful, 'Automatic Clips.'

I just picked up on the thread and was shocked to say the least. I must agree with 30Cal and RecoilRob (nice job guys) and say I've placed many rounds down range with my M1A and have never had a single problem. Using the correct primers (as many have said before) will solve the 'so called'...

I vote for the M1A SA. I've put countless rounds thru it and its never let me down. They cost, but IMHO, worth it.

Question? Since my stock has the matching serial number as that on my rifle, would the heat and steam of the dish washer (I've never used this method of cleaning stocks) raise the letters to the point of being unable to read them? I'd hate to destroy such a beautiful piece of history.
