It doesn't seem to be slowing down here in California....every gun shop I've gone to in the past month are just about out of everything and waiting for shipments that they say sell out as soon as they get shipments in. Been wanting a Henry Big Boy rifle, .357 mag for over a year. Decided to make...

Personally, I don't think it's any of their damn business what I own. Next time I won't be caught off guard, I'll tell her, "Neither, I just like to carry shiney bullets around in my pockets."
And I'm not Wal-Mart bashing. This just happened to happen there. Sorry if my question seemed...
For the first time this new year I went into Wal-Mart recently to buy some
.22LR CCI Stingers. (100 rounds).
After the clerk rung up my purchase, she wasn't allowed to total it because the cash register gave an extremely audible beep when she hit the total key. She looked at the register...
Hollow points?
I thought that was what hollow points were for? I was told that as soon as they hit the main target, they flatten out and pretty much stay where they've hit.
Was this bogus info given to me at the range I go to?

He really didn't recommend anything else. I am also interested in purchasing an AR-15, but right now it's a little outta my price range. Is there a decent rifle for target shooting and possibly small game in the $200 to $300range?
I was checking out a Ruger Mini-14 at my local gun shop the other day and the guy behind the counter said he wouldn't recommend it. He said the Mini-14 just sprays bullets and isn't accurate at all.
He really didn't have much good to say about it. I'd like to purchase a rifle and was looking...
I just purchased a Walther P22 for some "cheaper" target shooting and may carry it this summer while jogging or hiking. I bought some CCI .22 LR Mini Mag HP's. I was thinking of trying out some Stingers by CCI, but it seems I read somewhere where Stingers weren't a good idea to use in a...
Hey, thanks for all the responses. I think I'll keep on looking for that "perfect for me" concealed carry pistol. The guy at our local gunshop was really pushing a Walther, I believe, P22 for a concealed carry. I'm not sure if a .22 will actually get me out of a jam. Any thoughts on this?
Our...
I've never fired a Tomcat .32 ACP but am seriously thinking of purchasing one for concealed carry. I'd like to hear about how this particular gun handles and if it's the right choice for a concealed carry. New to the world of firearms, but am open to suggestions.
I already have a Ruger SP101 3"...
Wasn't one or just about all of what you mentioned in your post once considered...... :uhoh: "TREASON?" Especially if perpetrated during a time of war??
I'm new to the world of guns. What are the politics that would deter one from buying a Ruger? It just happened to be the first hand gun I purchased. Did I support a company who isn't exactly on the side of Patriotic Americans or something?:uhoh:
Ruger SP-101
I just bought a Ruger SP 101 with the 3" barrel. At first I was going to buy just the .38 special, but for the same price I bought the .357 which also fires .38's.
I took it to the range last week and shot .38's, .38+P and .357. It handled all three beautifully. I plan on...
