I bought a CW9 used here while back and have had no problems with it. I love the size and think it shoots good for the size pistol it is. I'd buy another if I found a deal. In fact I tried to work a deal for 2 of them a while back but we couldn't come to terms.
i saw the movie Sat night. It really brings home the sacrifice our soldiers make for us. Thanks to all of you for your service. You're in my thoughts and prayers daily.
I just bought a CW9 used before Christmas. Got it for $350 and got an extra mag and holster with it. It had just been broken in by the previous owner. (200-300 rds through it) I've taken it to the range one time and put about 100 through it. I'm very well pleased with mine so far. It is pretty...
Hi I knew my membership at the local range was coming up for renewal. This range has been open for many two years and it's a nice place to go. They give discounts for police/ems/fire personnel in their yearly memberships. Well, when I got to inquiring about renewing I found out they had tripled...
This past weekend at a local gun show found a Smith and Wesson Sigma 40 caliber marked $275. With $50 rebate would have put it at $225. Started to get it but didn't. Went back and it was gone. Wasn't in the market for a 40 caliber but still should have jumped on it.
Alarm systems are good for what they are good for. Alerting of a possible problem, either intruder or fire. If you are at home they give you advanced warning that could save your life, especially in a fire situation. (Don't forget regular smoke detectors though. Fire Prevention Week.) Don't...
Second trip to the range. Went a lot better. I cleaned and lubed it good before I went. Put 7 Federal Hy SHOK JHP through first with no problem. Then I put 50 FMJ I bought at the range through it and had 1 failure to feed. I then switched to some Winchester FMJ that I'd bought at Wally World and...
I bought one used a little over a year ago. Ex Police pistol. Gave 330 for it with one mag. It's my favorite pistol. I don't have CCW yet but it is usually with me in which ever vehicle I am in. Shoots good and accurate,(if it had an accurate operator). No failures or problems at all from the...
Sorry went out of town and just got back. Paid 270 out the door tax and all. I fieldstripped it and did a quick clean and lube. Thats why I said I was not sure that it was lubed good enough. Fire some Federal HI SHOK JHP and some Winchester FMJ. Also cleaned out some odds and ends ammo I had in...
I bought a Keltec PF9 the other weekend and finally got to take it to the range today. My wife and I both shot it. It seemed pretty accurate but had several FTF. Not sure if I've got an issue with the gun or ammo or if it just needs a little more "greasing up". My wife didn't like it very much...
I've got a Bersa thunder 380 and love it. My wfie shoots well with it also but she doesn't share my enthusiasm with shooting. It is a good size for her and I like the size too.
Hear something in our garbage can one night and went to check. Eased the back door open and Mr Racoon was there so I scared him off. Wife calls me at work the next night and says you'll never believe what just happened. She heard something in the trash can and she proceeds to imitate me from the...
I inherited an old 16 gauge shotgun from my father and he hunted some before I came along but I never shot it much. I commute into a small city in NC and the crime rates in the area where I work have escalated greatly over the last few years. I bought my first handgun, Ruger p89, three years ago...
there are always exceptions to the rules. Evidently this firefighter was injured by ammunition in some way, either in a gun or not. if we knew exactly what to expect from every fire we fight then there would never be any firefighter deaths. The unexpected or unusual is where most firefighters...
