I prefer the XD.
I have owned the HS2000 9mm (same gun) for about a year and I am comfortable with it. I would only change the sights. I shoot IDPA with this gun and shoot as well as other shooters with M&Ps and glocks

This gun will shoot anything. It is Uber reliable. I do not know of one breaking so I think any future problems will be remote.

the P-95DC will eat anything you can stuff in the magazine. The double action trigger can be a little different from gun to gun. So if you get a chance to handle different P-95s you can choose the one you like.

The round looks like it was the victim of a "Bolt over base" malfunction.
Translation the bolt passed over the base of the round still inside of the magazine but the front of the casing is high enough above the feed lips to be hit by the lowest locking lug of the bolt as it moves forward...

The the differences between the P-90 and the P-97 is how they feel in your hand.
They are both reliable and accurate. I had an early P-90 that was very accurate and had a great trigger. No malfunctions.
