Stopped Cleaning your Gun! I did - You Too?

Yes!!! A clean gun has gotten a lot of people put of trobule.

Stopped Cleaning your Gun! I did - You Too?

Okay if you're okay with that "reliability,"

Stopped Cleaning your Gun! I did - You Too?

Depends on what you're using it for. I was a LE firearms instructor and I've seen guns so dirty they couldn't get through a magazine without malfunction. Moreso in the cold.

Today, $400 is considered cheap for 'em.

Not amazing. First, take a look at inflation. Second, take a look at population Lots of more people wanting these guns. Supply and demand. Finite numbers of these firearms out there.

Beretta 21A or Ruger LCP II?

I've no experience with the Ruger. I have a 21A that I sometimes carry in a low threat environment. I carry it hammer down safety off. Reliability? I use CCI Mini Mag solids. You are going to need penetration with a small caliber gun. I take it to the range once a year and fire Mini Mags...

    Favorite 45ACP mold

I never cast bullets. However I've found the 200gr H&G bullet which became my standard 45 ACP bullet. Over 6.0 grs of Unique (well under max) it gives me 900 fps. A good all around 45 load.

    Beloved 30-06 Anyone?

I'm not a hunter but do have 2 favorite 30-06s. First is my VAR barreled Garand. Shoots under 3" @ 100 with any M2 ball. Second is my sporterized 1903A3.right. Got it cheap as the original barrel was cut and receiver was drilled for scope mount. No resurrecting this to an original. Whoever...

    GOOD GUN GREASE...

I started using Dri-Slide in Vietnam in 1968. Still the best lube for AR internals.

    GOOD GUN GREASE...

Another vote for Mobtil 1 grease. Unlike petroleum based greases it doesn't harden. I have Garands I've greased up and put away years ago and the grease is still as soft as when I applied it.

Trying to decide on only one bullet for 357

Whilst I prefer a 125 gr Jhp as a SD load if I was forced into using one bullet in a 357 it would be a 158 gr swc.

Assault Weapon Identification Guide As listed or described in Illinois Compiled Statutes 720 ILCS 5/24-1.9

Maybe not in common usage but it was being used by gun scribes in 1980.

Assault Weapon Identification Guide As listed or described in Illinois Compiled Statutes 720 ILCS 5/24-1.9

I have a 1980 Guns and Ammo publication titled "Guide to Assault Weapons". Prior to the late 70s early 80s, if you wanted a semiautomatic rifle that fired 5.56 you had your choice between an AR or a Mini 14. About 1980 there became a huge choice of semiautomatic rifles styled after military...

    223 headstamp

If you're using it for casual practice and not precision shooting I'd keep all of it.

Any firearm can be used self-defense in a pinch. Do you agree?

This is not a legitimate question to me. Someone's going to.try to kill me? I'll use whatever resource I have.

Handgun, Rifle, PCC, or Shotgun for Home Defense?

He kept saying in the ER, "I'm going to die". The ER nurse told him, "we're all going to die sometime but you're not going.to die tonight". He survived

Handgun, Rifle, PCC, or Shotgun for Home Defense?

Problem with birdshot is lack of penetration. I had an attempted suicide with a single barrel and a load of #6. The only reason he lived waa.because the wad plugged the.wound and I stuffed my tie in it enroute to the hospital.

    .44 mag 240grn swc

My full power load with 296, 240 lswc no gas check, will lead after about 24 rds give or take. I just.take that. I'm not shooting it that much. I'll just clean better.

    .44 mag 240grn swc

Another vote for 10.0 grs of Unique. Gives me about 1000 fps. I use 296 for full power loads.

duty size gun carry for ccw

Using your argument why give retired military ID cards where they get lifetime no charge medical insurance and cheaper shopping privileges. I don't get free medical insurance by virtue of my LEO experience. I retired from a Federal job. I have to pay for my Medicare B, C, and D. Cheaper...
