    Pyrodex advice

I guess one of my concerns is because I am using such a heavy bullet in it, IT seems I had read sometimes it's less powder for a heavy bullet.

    Pyrodex advice

I am going to try out a new rifle in the morning and if I like it I may hunt with it this season. I have a CVA Wolf 209 Magnum. I am going to use Pyrodex RS FFG. I have cast some 354 grain minie bullets and was wanting some input on how many grains of Pyrodex to start with. I want to start...

    Oops- I hope this isn't a problem

I agree with RC, I think you should dump it just to learn a lesson. Paying always makes me remember. On the other hand I know times are hard and it hurts to dump 20-25 bucks on the ground. I have a feeling you wont make this mistake again:)

so whats your preffered method to storing primers?

This is not a great idea but I have a few thousand that my FIL gave me and they have been in his garage for over 20 years just in the boxes they came in. I have used maybe 500 so far and never a problem. I think they are a little more resilient than we think they are. I am not suggesting you do...

    Minie Bullet Lube

I am casting these because I refuse to pay a buck a shot for the Sabots and such that are available. The ridges on the side look like the Lee tumble lube bullets. What are you guys using to lube these? How do you think Rooster Jacket would do?

    Dillon-Hornady Swap

Never had a Dillon but I have had my Hornady for a few months and I like it a lot. Cant compare the two but I know this is a sweet press and Hornady service is great. On a side note, someone said most guys tell the new re loaders to start with a single stage, this is the WORST advice you...

    9mm and Herco

Do you think 5.5 is a safe starting point for a 125 lead bullet?

    9mm and Herco

Sorry It is 125 lead round nose.

    9mm and Herco

I did a search and still didn't come up with a answer. I have found several sites where they are using 6+ grains of herco in a 9mm luger. I was doing some testing and 6 almost fills the case. Hornady manual says 4.8 is max. Give me your thoughts on this.

    ?? Hornady Press??

Roost, LNL is the way Hornady refers to the press. I do like it, it is a awesome press. I am not out to set any records but just for the heck of it I timed myself and pushing it pretty hard I can do 100 rounds in 15 minutes. I dont load at this rate most of the time but I was just curious. Its a...

    Hornady Shell Plate Spring

How many rounds are you guys getting before the spring breaks. I have done about 1700 and mine just broke, I am now shut down until I get one from hornady.
