    Neil deGrasse Tyson

Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson made this great statement about the recent shootings: "In the past 48hrs, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings," Tyson wrote Sunday afternoon. He then compared the "average" number of people who die in other ways across "any 48hrs." "On...

    Uberti 1860 Army

I plan to buy a new Uberti 1860 Army .44 revolver soon, and I'm going to buy a Lee mould for the balls. What's the best size for a Lee mould, is it .454? Thanks.

Lee Universal Expander vs Lyman M

I recently started handloading cast bullets for .30-.30. I bought the Lee Universal case expander die and it seems to work great. But I've heard that the Lyman M die works the brass less. I know that the Lee expander die bells the mouth, and the Lyman M enlarges the whole mouth. Do you...

    Grip Refinishing

I've thought about making my own revolver grips eventually, and I wonder if Tung Oil would be a good finish for the wood. I don't like shiny wood finishes. Does anyone have any experience with this?

    FCD and .30-.30

Hello everyone. I just started reloading last summer, and I have a Lee Classic Cast Turret Press. I've been reloading .45 Colt without a problem, and I've just started reloading .30-.30. I got the Lee Deluxe Die set for .30-.30, with the Factory Crimp Die. My problem is that I can't seem to get...

    .45 Colt bullet supplier?

Does anyone know of a good supplier for cheap .45 Colt bullets? I'd like to get some made with soft lead and a larger than normal lube groove so I can lube them for shooting blackpowder. All the ones I've seen cost at least twice as much as regular hardcast bullets. I'm shooting a New...

    Ruger New Vaquero Grips?

Does anyone have any favorite companies that make grips for the Ruger New Vaqueros? I don't think I'll want any fancy inlays or anything. Probably just nice Walnut or Rosewood. Thanks.

    Calculating Foot Pounds

Does anyone know how to calculate foot pounds of energy? Suppose I'm shooting a 250 grain bullet from .45 Colt, and the measured velocity is 800 fps -- how would I determine the foot pounds of energy produced?

    Tumbling dangers?

How much lead is in used tumbler media? Are there any other toxins in it? I always strain out the media in a ventilated area, but I wonder how dangerous it is to be exposed to the stuff?

    Kel Tec P-3AT

I'm thinking of getting a Kel Tec P-3AT .380 for a concealed carry gun. Does anyone have any opinions on these? Quality, reliability, etc.?

    Cleaning Dies

How do you clean your dies? I use Lee dies and I've cleaned them with Gun Scrubber but I'm worried about it ruining the rubber o-rings.

    Copper fouling in barrel

I have a Winchester Model 94 .30-.30, and I've tried Hoppes Benchrest and Tetra Gun with a lot of scrubbing, but I can never get ALL the copper fouling out of the barrel. The grooves always get good and clean, but I always still have a thin coating of copper on the lands. I can see it when I...

    Chronographs

I'm just curious to know what everyone's experiences have been with different types/brands/models of chronographs. Which ones are the best for the money, most reliable, etc.?

    Favorite .30-.30 load?

I'm just starting to load for .30-.30 and would be curious about what loads people are using. What type powder, how much, what kind of primers, neck-sized or full-length sized cases, etc.?
