Excellent booming attendance at all of the gun shows around here (MO, AR, and KS) since first of the year. Most of the entrance lines extend around the buildings even at midday Saturday. I took several .22 rifles to a show to sell several weeks ago and they were sold within a few minutes of...
If the buyer can find a FFL that will accept from an individual, it's PERFECTLY LEGAL to ship direct to them. Been there... done that a few times. Fedex Ground will accept rifles without any problems and are very reasonable, while UPS can be trouble depending upon who you face behind the...
Usually my best buys are the ones I initially feel unhappy about... and my worst buys are the ones that initially seem to be the best deal ever.
You might have a compulsive problem, but if your main motivation for buying is knowing the market and getting good deals, then at worst you can sell...
Anyone know if Bass Pro sells chronys? Can't find them on their website and since our store's gun department is always hard to get on the phone, thought I'd ask here before I head that way to see.
Springfield is an awesome city... well planned and easy to get around. I've debated several times over the years to move there. The flea markets over that way are some of the best in the nation and have made me a small fortune via Ebay.
If he claims the problems are due to CCI ammo, then I'd logically presume he's found ammo that works well with the gun. When you pick it up, ask him to shoot both CCI and whatever ammo he recommends at his range or trap setup to prove his claims and compare the results. I bet that outcome won't...
Not really answering your question... but if you're looking into buying that gun (Daisy Powerline 1000), Cabela's sells refurbished ones for $70 in a complete kit with scope. Incredible deal.
Marlin 60 bought from Walmart several years ago. One day I got tired of my previous cheap used Marlin 60 jamming constantly at the range... so I pretty much donated it to the range after the session and headed to Walmart.

Those folks will set you straight quickly on what's good and what's bad in the way of Oklahoma gun shops.
All of local gun shows around here (MO, AR, and KS) have been going gangbusters since first of the year. Even at midday Saturday the entrance lines are still backed up around the buildings.
Today I took several cheap 22 rifles to a local show to sell. Within two minutes of entering the hall a...
Putting a gun locker in the garage isn't a good idea. They are more well ventilated than what they look and that isn't good.
If you must go that route, make sure you seal up all of the seams best you can with rubber / insulation strips and install a Goldenrod. Silica beads won't be enough.
Gotta love Missouri. We went from a Brady grade of C+ to a strong F thanks to Govenor Blunt's hard push for pro gun rights. He's the best thing that's ever happened to Missouri... and it's a darn shame he isn't running for another term :(
Let me guess... the RK show in Springfield, MO last weekend, right?
I was there and thought it was pretty good... very crowded, but packed full of vendors with a little bit of everything. Probably one of the best shows held in Springfield in the last couple of years. Sellers lie at...
From what I've heard you may get some cash. Fox News reported today that weekend negotiations suggested that every tax paying... and non tax paying... citizen of legal age may get this rebate. We should all know for certain within a day or two.
The Trailblazer needs new tires this spring, so that would be $500 of it.
I've heard Bush is pushing for $800 per individual... but congress is thinking more like $500 and maybe as low as $300. C-SPAN should be very interesting next week
Once a year... usually in April for a two week period... Cabela's offers Cabela's Club Visa members $30 in free merchandise. There's no minimum spending amount... even if you spend just $30, you get it free at the register. That event usually deserves a spring weekend trip to Kansas City...
If you have a Cabela's handy, they sell refurbished Daisy Powerline 1000 break barrel 1000 fps .177 air rifles for $75 complete with scope. Excellent value and very powerful / accurate for your needs.
I thought handguns had to be shipped overnight if using USPS. I've heard of Priority Mail, Express Mail, and Parcel Post... but never heard of USPS "4 day service".
Might as well offer the Taurus PT92 to your friend for $185 now... or put it on THR classifieds and try for a bit more. A PT92 is nearly impossible to find used under $200 unless it's a piece of junk. $275+ is more common.
The best you can expect to get for a nice PT92 at a gun show or via...
