The electropencil numbers were NOT!! done by the arsenal rebuild. They were done by the importer (ie. the monkeys at century arms) to make them look like a matching number gun. The arsenals would have used and did use an over stamp or line out the non matching number and restamp the matching...

EASYOFF oven cleaner works great!! dissasemble all metal barts from the wood (DONT USE EASYOFF ON THE WOOD) spray easyoff liberally on the metal parts, let soak for about 20-30 min. wash off with HOT!! water. Clean as usual and oil.

$300 to $500 for a custom barrel maker to contour, thread and chamber is WAYYYY to much to put into a $100 surplus rifle in my opinion, but its your rifle and your money so if it trips your trigger go for it!!!

7mm-08 is a great all around cartridge. Bullet weights from 95gr to 170gr. Shoots flat as a pancake with minimal recoil.

For the simple fact that a scope puts a well placed shot for a 1 shot humane kill at any range!! Which EVERY!! hunter should be concerned with.
