Thanks for the info. That seems right looking at my load data. Are these loads you have used or is the information you provided from Quickload or some other ballistic software?
Anyway, thank you again.
Gentlepersons,
I'm looking for some help with Casull charges. Specifically with a 340gn bullet that has two crimp groves. I currently have a couple loads with 2400 and H110 that are around 1100 fps and shoot well. These loads have an OAL of 1.750 and are crimped in the lower groove. I am...
Yep, unscrew (remove) the crimp plunger and drop the case mouth first into the top of the die. It should drop thru but the head should catch on the ring. Better use a sized case or it might not drop to the head. ;)
Just did this with all my LFC dies. 357 Mag, 44, and 45 Colt. Place the die in a vise -- make sure you protect the threads. Drop an empty case of the correct caliber in the die mouth first -- the case head will stop on the ring. Take a wide punch and give it a sharp whack. The ring will...
Power Pistol is a great powder for the 10mm. There are powders that will provide higher velocities in 10mm especially with heavier bullets but PP works great with 165 and 180gn bullets out of my Glock. Plus it's a versatile powder. I use it in 357sig and mag. 44 mag and 45 colt also. You'll...
Thanks for all the replies guys. As I stated I did shoot the gun off of sandbags and am quite sure that the sight is off. Like I said also, when a straight edge is applied I can see the cant to the right. I also know what would be needed to correct it as has been posted in this thread -- the...
Well I finally got some more time to shoot the Cattleman today at an indoor range. 15 ft off of sandbags, first 6 shots all thru the same hole 1 1/2" to the left. I shot 100 rounds consisting of factory loads along with reloads using three different powders. All of them grouped well but to...
Actually it's been out of my hands for too long as it is already. I bought it back in July and the day I took it home I was cleaning it and the front sight fell off. No kidding. I had to send it back and it had to be brazed back on which it then had to be sent elsewhere for re-blueing. About...
Just bought an Uberti Cattleman, first revolver with fixed sights. Had a chance to shoot a few rounds this weekend just before it got dark. I was grouping to the the left. I'm curious as to what others are finding with their fixed sight revolvers. Is it common for them to be a bit off sight...
Saturday at around noon. Quartering away with a Barnes TSX, Knocked him down in his tracks. Never before had I seen such a clean kill. He just dropped right there and never moved.
