    1950 Winchester 94 32 special

If you are concerned about value leave it alone. Refinishing always reduced a gun's collectors value.

    New Cap Lock Rifle

Mattel made those; I had a Colt Detective Special look-alike that was so cool! I also had a great-looking Colt 1860 type that held 2-piece brass shells and fired red plastic bullets. Such great toys!

    New Cap Lock Rifle

OMG, I got one of those at Disneyland back in the 1960s. I was just learning about guns and realized that the breechblock looked just like a real musket's so I dumped the powder from a couple of black cats down the barrel, stuck on a Greenie Stick-'em cap and proceded to shoot the head of a...

All I know about guns I learned from movies/TV

TV & movies taught me that there are pistols & rifles that can shoot a gazillion times without reloading. Now, if I could only find one...

    What? I was missing?

Heck, some of the best deals I ever got were on guns the owners were convinced were bad because they couldn't hit snot with them!

Does anyone make a STAINLESS 1860 Army?

Yes, blued and case colors make the gun look like an original... in excellent condition. SS guns look like guns that have seen so much action that there's no finish left! I kinda like that.

    H & R 929 light strikes

Depends on the problem. Are the chambers countersunk? If so, make sure there is no crud that could cushion the firing pin impact. Also check the countersink depth; if the bad one is a bit too deep the pin will not be hitting the rim as hard as the others. Is the pin strike in the same...

Adjusting a fixed sight Hi Power

You punch the sight itself? I punch the flat of the dovetail; more room to work and I find the slide is easier to brace than just a sight.

    Eye Dominance

I'm left eyed & right handed as well (lots of us, I see!). When I was 5 an older neighbor kid let me shoot his BB gun. I put it against my left shoulder and he said, "No, that's wrong." I ignored him and proceeded to out-shoot every one there, all kids several years older than I...

Use car wax on a firearm?

I'm surprised it took so long for someone to mention this stuff! Ren Wax is the best; I use it on guns, knives, my Rolex watches... it's great! Not cheap but a litttle bit goes a looong way.
