PCS Holsters
Does anyone use the PCS French Curve model? Any thoughts? I'm finding I'm not as big of a fan of Mika as I thought I would be.

New Holster Maker
I found this gent on GlockTalk. He's making his own holsters for J-frames and other handguns...scroll the thread a bit and you can see how they have evolved. He just started, but it looks like he's on to something:

Simply Rugged Holsters and Ammo Carriers
Does anyone have any experience with these folks? Prices look good and I like that their holster rides high and close (looks like the "Silver Dollar Pancake" is the one for J-frames.)

Blackening
My 642 shows signs of blackening around the outside of the barrel and around the cylinder. What can I use to remove this? Any ideas how to prevent it? Thanks in advance.
Holster Thread on GlockTalk.com
Hello,
There's a holster thread on Glock Talk asking what's the best hoslter for a .38/pocket carry. It seems that few over there have heard of Mika...how about giving him a recommendation!

Yes..two or three times each. It seemed that the primer indentations were enough so that the round should have fired. If it was just one type of ammo I would chock it up to hard primers but since it was two different types, albeit it WWB and reloads, it makes me wonder. Like I said, I’ve...
I just got my PT145 back from Taurus and I took it to the range to test it out. I fired some factory reloads, some WWB and some Blazer Brass. I got way too many light strikes on the reloads and WWB...none on the Blazer.
I've heard that WWB is known for hard primers and light strikes and...
Anyone using Pro Ear electronic muffs? If so, what model do you use and how do you like them? Do you use them at an indoor range and if so, does it pick up the sound of the exhaust systerm to the point of being annoying? Do they block (as well as amplify) noise as good as you would like? Any...
Desantis Super Fly
I too have a Super Fly and will be returning it tomorrow. They missed the mark on this one. The holster is too stuff and the leading edge is too large and bulky. Rather than waiting for a break-in period, I'll be returning mine and exchanging it for an Apache Ankle rig...
Two questions:
One,
Does anyone have a link for speed strips? I can't seem to find one anywhere and I can't find the product in any local stores.
Two,
The "recoil pad" on the back of CT grips looks interesting...does it work? Does anyone else make grips w/ such a pad? (my Sheriff...
Light Primer Strikes
I had a couple of light strikes yesterday. I was using "white box." Anyone else have a similar problem? I'm on a Taurus board often and I have read similar things there.
DAdams,
Thanks for the write up/comparison. I heard about the issues w/ the PM9 and they drove me to the 642. I learned the hard way, after buying my Taurus PT145, that when a bunch of people are having issues w/ a gun, it should be a no-go until the problems are resovled. Now my Taurus is...
