Point me to a carbine/car gun.

SKS gets my vote too. But a mossberg marine 590 12ga. is the ultimate cheap car gun.

Where to sell my bb machine gun?

I have one of those old BB machine guns and want to sell it since I haven't used it in years and I don't really need a 3,000 round per munute bb gun. :) Any advice for an auction service or other moethod that would be best to sell such a specialty item? Thanks! :)

    Pepper spray question

2 million scoville heat units minimum. Liquid propellant is best because you can shake it and tell if it's still good. I don't care for all the dyes and other stuff in mine. I want as much pepper and propellant as possible. A nice safety is good as long as you can still use it fast...

    Need a snappy comeback

"If restrictive gun laws made us safer, then Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, and Washington DC would be crime-free utopias." You guys rock! :) The level of sanity here is overwhelming sometimes.

    Need a snappy comeback

If someone says to you: "If more guns made people safer, America would be the safest country in the world" What's the most clever comeback you can say? I'm trying to come up with a sig for another board I post to and there's an anti there with that as his sig. Thanks !!!

Stupid Unemployed Project #644... Homemade Naginata

I've never had railroad track, but I have used a one foot long section of LARGE I-beam. I've also used a bracket that held a stadium bleacher together. Just any super thick, flat steel should do fine. Neat project! I wonder if I could use an air compressor instead of a bellows? I've...

    Tears of the Sun

So many great TRUE stories about real heroes that have yet to be told. I don't see why they need to make up crap like Tears of the Sun.

    New Buck

Yeah there's nicer but for 20 bucks (no pun intended) it's hard to beat. I've owned expensive blades but I don't like to carry them. I'd feel too awful if I lost one. My one big complaint about this Buck is that the blade goes into the handle a little crooked so that it sometimes scrapes the...

    New Buck

My Gerber ez-out broke and wal mart let me swap it for this Buck: http://www.buckknives.com/products/details.php?ID=186 Same price but built a lot tougher. Not a great knife but pretty darned good for under 30 bucks. Opens REALLY nicely.

What do you think about russian made shotguns.

Saiga 12 is awesome for HD. I've never seen one at a gun show here in Dallas. We have to order them. I am praying that if the AWB sunsets that we can get a bigger than 5 rd magazine. I will buy a Saiga 12 for HD in a second if I can get a 20+ rd drum/magazine. :)

Which is best for home defense, 12ga or .223 carbine?

Edward is right. If you shoot, you'd better shoot to kill on every shot. "with bird you lose a lot of stopping power" Can't disagree more. Birshot is devastating at close range. I think it hits harder than buckshot personally. Ever heard of the "jackhammer effect"? The .223 is an...

Have you ever worn out a quality gun?

I have an old (1860's) gallery gun that is worn flat out. One of my Marlin 22s has over a million rounds through it now and it's only good as a "wall-hanger" at this point.

    Gun-friendly nations?

I read someplace that Sweeden only has one gun law. You can't own more than 25,000 rounds of ammo. That's it! I always wonder why crime is so low in Sweeden :)

    My new favorite flashlight

I am addicted to LED flashlights. I've bought at least 2 dozen in the past year. Super-long battery life is awesome. I've bought most from www.ccrane.com and a few more from http://www.glow-bug.com/ The only one that wasn't great is a cheap one I got at wal-mart for 11 bucks. It broke...

    Are we less free now?

History teacher prospective: We are less free because of the punitive taxation. Money = power As far as guns, yes and no. There is a wider gap between civilian and military arms for certain. But we don't have a draft and, most important, laws like the Sedition act which severely...

    Spencer

Well, too many people, including my parents, didn't like the name "Heston" for our baby boy. So I FINALLY came up with a gun name that everybody loves...Spencer. Good name? Anything I should know about that name besides the fact that it's a 19th century repeater? There's never been a...
