That does not really explain... If you look at a Glock you will notice that the receiver forward of the trigger guard makes contact with the frame. This is by design. If you attach an accessory on the rail that causes the frame to straighten and not make contact it can lead to feeding issues...

It is not the initial cost of the weapon that worries me it is the $70+/ round price for ammo that would make training expensive.

There are only a handful of guns made every year where working the action could reduce the value. I doubt anyone at Kahr has even heard of them.
