Police officers sue because Glocks are too big for them

"Women, for the most part, can't hump enough weight in hoses and victims, and yet, they've become firefighters. They can't hump enough full ammo cans, field gear, and wounded comrades, and they're going to be assigned to the battlefield in combat units. In the most basic of combat -...

    Remington R51

The biggest complaint against the original Remington 51 was that the breech blocks occasionally cracked, and there were no replacements.

Police officers sue because Glocks are too big for them

A 10 year old girl can shoot a Glock effectively. I have seen a few shoot a .44 Magnum S&W effectively. If those female officers WON that suit, the plaintiff's attorneys were worthless.

Who Still ACTIVELY Shoots the .30-06?

Is that a left handed Model 70?

Is 'two guns' carry really tactical?

Yes, if you are skilled with both hands.

Police officers sue because Glocks are too big for them

If they cannot grab a Glock, how are they going to grab the wrist of a large man and put him in handcuffs? They might use the size of Glock to determine suitability for the job.

Police officers sue because Glocks are too big for them

They will lose, and then they will be on the departments <deleted> list. All the department will have to do is find a small statured department like those in Asia or SE Asia that are using the same Glock, with no problems. How many SMALLER female officers here in the US are successfully using...

    Shortest Dry Ear-Safe 9mm supressor?

This isn't most people's idea of a practical 9mm suppressor, but my out-of-production AAC Scorpion, a wet can 4in long and 1in dia. can be used dry, and it takes just enough of the blast off to be bearable. Wet, it is good for 4-8 shots. It is a special purpose can, but very nice for home...

Color me... baffled. 92F vs. Hi-Power two great 9mm pistols

At the time of adoption of the M9, the CZ75 was a communist bloc made weapon. I doubt that it would have even remotely been considered unless a NATO country had already copied and produced it, and even that would have created too much controversy, even if it was the best design ever.

Color me... baffled. 92F vs. Hi-Power two great 9mm pistols

Is it even POSSIBLE that the Beretta beat the SIG fair and square at the time? Stranger things have happened.

Color me... baffled. 92F vs. Hi-Power two great 9mm pistols

Tipoc, don't forget, the specs WERE rewritten a bit to specify the double column magazine, and probably a few other specs, as the high capacity magazine was not on the 1948 order. And by the time they got around to moving on the late trials, I believe the S&W and Ruger P series were around...

    Stop and Smell the Gunpowder!

As someone else mentioned that they were slowing down or had stopped shopping for any new guns, I have realized that I have many more than I can wear out in a lifetime.......maybe even with unlimited ammo.:) Anyway, I think we should ALL stop and "smell the roses" , or in our case, the...

    Remington moving to Huntsville AL

Low skill? Ha! Those Southern boys can machine and operate as well, or better, than many Northern shops. They have just been doing it for less money.

Can U improve heavy trigger by shooting?

Yes, but even dry firing will condition the shooter to better manage a bad trigger. After the shooter gets "hardened", the trigger seems easier to manage.

    Liberty Suppressors Chaotic

I'm glad that was the name of the suppressor. I first thought they were having some problems.......:)

Anyone ever had "problems" using a suppressor at a public range?

If you really want to know the ugly truth, BATF has had internal problems over the years "losing" paperwork. The NFA register is incomplete because of this. It has often been brought up that another amnesty may be necessary to allow the BATF to update and complete their files on EXISTING...

35,000,000 rounds of .22LR on backorder...

I hope the demand stays this high, the ammo companies build extra plants to accommodate, and the shooting sports stays stronger in the future. It would be nice to see this kind of interest, active shooting, and sales in the future, as status quo.

Anyone ever had "problems" using a suppressor at a public range?

Can anyone explain the logic in having to carry papers and PROVE that the weapon or suppressor are yours when the government already has had you apply, approved, filed, and all the information at their disposal to KNOW that you are the owner of the device? And, all of that in a land where you...
