SD ammo for 1981 Browning Hi Power

I would probably just run FMJ in it. It works.

Old Pachmayr presentation grips for old Ruger Super Blackhawk, grip screw question.

Thanks for the reply and info, how old is your S/Blackhawk?

Three inch barrel revolvers, a weakness ?

Very nice. I had a snub .41mag a long time ago. I really wish that caliber would make a comeback.

Old Pachmayr presentation grips for old Ruger Super Blackhawk, grip screw question.

So I received the grip screw from Pachmayr today. They were kind enough to send it out for free even with the backlog everyone has. I just tried to use it tonight and couldn't get the screw through the hole. I realized the hammer spring is in the way of the screw getting through. Looked at the...

Opinions on the Feg hi power clone.

No, that's not what I'm talking about. Some of the early PJK/P9M magazines for the HP clones were marked as 14rd back in the early to mid-2000's like the DA version was. I'm not sure what the deal was, but I even remember seeing the 14rd witness hole. I was well aware of the factory 13rd...

    I Like L Frames

Funny you say that because I think .357 in anything less than 5" is pretty much pointless, unless it's loaded with some really fast burning powders. I'm glad we don't all like the same thing, or we'd be fighting over them constantly, and be in continuous agreement making the world a very boring...

    I Like L Frames

L-frames are nice. Being able to shoot nuclear .357 all day is pretty awesome. The K-frames just really aren't up to it in my experience even though they are nice handling revolvers.

Old Pachmayr presentation grips for old Ruger Super Blackhawk, grip screw question.

Thanks, I'll contact Pachmayr and see what they say. The Ruger OEM grip screw just seems too skinny and will just not thread in at all.

Opinions on the Feg hi power clone.

I've heard the exact same thing about the PJK's and P9M's in regards to the trigger pin and the magazines. One of the models has a different barrel lug as well than the standard HP lug. I believe it's the later model, but I can't remember for sure, I think it's the PJK. I did examine a PJK...

    Ruger refinishing service opinions.

I'm thinking of sending an MKII back for the refinishing service. I've heard good reports about it in the past and I was wondering if anyone here has done it and what the results were? The MKII is blued and I'm interested in a reblue, but even more so I think it would be nice to have a hard...

Old Pachmayr presentation grips for old Ruger Super Blackhawk, grip screw question.

I might have to check that out. But it has threads only at a certain point and it's an odd length. I would prefer to get a blued grip screw though like originally came with the Pachmayrs. The gun is blued but I could probably live with a brass, chrome or stainless screw. I wonder if Pachmayr...

How far out are shooting your .357?

The firing line to the targets was about 27 yards at the old pistol range here. It was actually 25, but I would stand back a bit behind the benches. I had a stainless .357 Blackhawk I shot at that distance pretty often. At the new one I shoot at, since the old one is closed, it is about the same...

Old Pachmayr presentation grips for old Ruger Super Blackhawk, grip screw question.

Does anyone know if these grips use a different screw size? The factory screw doesn't seem to be the right size, it seems a bit too small in diameter.. These are for the old one piece checkered Pachmayr rubber "presentation" grips. I bought the grips from some guy locally, but they didn't come...

    Wow, that would be awesome!

Classicfirearms has the first version Beretta 92 S

I saw on a thread on Beretta forum that these might be date coded 2004. That means that Beretta has been making 92S for the Italian police at least up until that time frame. Very interesting if true.

The gun "flipping" on aution sites is annoying

These so called "free market" types on here will try and shame you into thinking you don't have a right to complain. YOU DO. You have as much a right to complain about prices as they do to charge them. And just because someone didn't pay X price for Z, doesn't mean they are "smarter" than you...

    I Found It!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a 415T, the ported titanium .41 mag model back in 2002 or so when they came out. Recoil was heavy with 210gr. loads. Definitely worse than a Scandium .357 with full power ammo. It developed timing problems and I dumped it for cheap because of that. At the time Taurus customer service...

How much does warranty factory work effect value of a gun?

I think it would be worth more after the factory work than before when it still had a problem. I have sold guns that came back to me with factory work done on them and I regret every sale as the factory corrected the shoddy work or replaced the parts affected by recalls. I had a S&W 659 that I...

When did the Colt Anaconda become a $2,000+ gun?

Agree 100%. I think there are other factors involved as well, including the prepper movement, pop culture, Colt production numbers, general Colt quality and name brand being desirable, ect., other things I'm forgetting. There are many factors that have set the price off on D/A Colts recently way...

When did the Colt Anaconda become a $2,000+ gun?

I think things are ripe for the bottom to drop out. The people who actually care about having a few guns around have them and at least a small stockpile of ammo. I don't think it's wise to invest in collectables right now in this current market, but I could be very wrong. I just don't see these...
