No country for old men. can you silence a shotgun?

I fired many rounds out of a suppressed H&R break-action 20ga shotgun. The sound of the shot hitting the junked pick-up truck we were shooting at was as loud as the report from the full-brass 20ga. It was built by a New England FFL/SOT...Totally fun.

    AR15 gas tube maintenance

Many moons ago, I bought a Colt National Match. I also bought a package of those fancy pipe cleaners. I poured ammunition through it and the person who now owns it, re-barreled it and still does the same. Those fancy pipe cleaners never saw a gas tube - they went into my daughters art supply box...

im getting an ar-15, i think i want a rra but i want ur input

In my opinion, RRA was unprepared for: (A) Popularity and (B) The end of the AWB. I think their quality control has suffered because of this. I was able to "tale of two cities" two RRA's several months ago. They were not identical models, but similar enough to see distinct differences in build...

best place for milsurp .223 ammo.

Watch Ultimax...Reloads. Some will chime in with "I have had no problems with it", but many have had just that. This sounds like shooter error or as stated a poorly mounted scope, perhaps even an index issue - UMC isn't the greatest, but it should group...

Wolf Military Classic in an AR-15?

To test the lacquer mythology, take a SPENT casing and hit it with a blow torch. Report back about the little puddle of lacquer you will not find...The early Wolf had issues with coating melt - I'm pretty sure that issue is over. What is not over is that Wolf ammo varies more than my girlfriends...

    M1A Advice Needed

If you must have a full-length M1A, you may as well go for the Loaded. The benefits, (NM front post, barrel and trigger) outweigh the price increase over the Standard.

    considering an ar-15

www.anvilarms.com May seem like a troll post for Jon Kruger, but the dude knows his stuff. Will build you an AR-15 to your specs and at a price that will make you realize how much more ammo you can buy. Go forth and try and dig up a bad review of his work...Jon and his Anvil Arms AR-15's are...

AR newb: How do I use these sights correctly?

Find a new friend...Just kidding... :) Everything takes practice and it sounds like you are on the right track - you'll be out-shooting your buddy in no time if you follow the above advice... PS: Try your wide aperture for close in - you'll find it less obtrusive.

YHM = wobble. If that's okay, then you should be GTG Troy= solid. If built like a tank is okay, then spend the extra dough.
