2 of my suggestions were to do a mini and a bolt action in 6.8 with the proper chamber/rifling this time rather than using the outdated versions from when the 6.8 first came on the scene.

I use plastic coffee cans for brass that I don't have a huge amount of (.308, 6.8, .38S, 10mm, etc). I use the 2.5 gal water jugs (just cut a hole in the spigot side & then set it with that side on top) for just about everything else. They can hold 2000 .45acp casings, in case you were wondering.

For USPSA Production & Limited divisions, I use a XDm 5.25 in .40s&w. My wife uses the same pistol in 9mm for Production division. My old Production gun was a CZ75 SP01 in 9mm.

I have a .38S, it's a nice pistol, good round when handloaded. When I go into the woods, I take a .45 loaded with +p 230gr HPs. That is a stop gap until I find either the right 10mm, .44, or .454 for me. In your case, I'd take the .357M.

Maverick 88 I see them around here for about $170, they come with either a field barrel or 18.5in barrel. They also use Mossberg 500 barrels & accessories. I used one in 12ga last season, it's a good, inexpensive shotgun. My wife got one in 20ga to use as well.

I've got an old Lee Pro1000 that I set up with a decapping die & case feeder. It makes it fast & painless...then I just toss the brass in the tumbler and let it do its thing.

I have more pistols than rifles, but only by 2...however, when I build the two stripped AR lowers I have laying around, I'll be all tied up again. Shotguns lag behind by 4, may add one or two more if I get into doing 3 gun matches, but for now, I'm pretty well set in that department.

I'm waiting for them to get their Ultimate Match trigger groups back in stock, then I'm installing them in mine & my wife's 5.25s. I'm also swapping out to the titanium internals when I do the trigger group install, along with lower power striker spring. I've heard great things about their set...
