Neew a realistic .22 for practice, please advise

And only about $800 for the CZ setup! The 85B is a better choice for some since it has ambi controls.

    lcp drop test

I've dropped my loaded P3AT twice from about 7.5' directly onto a hard tile floor! :what: Actually it slipped out of the cheapo nylon holster I'm using, so technically I didn't fumble the actual gun. Hit once smack almost vertical on the rear of the slide. Put a little dent into the...

    Saiga 12: The Adventure Begins.....

Shell deformation is easy to avoid. Leave the Bolt in the open position with mag in by using the BHO lever. You can't load +1 like this, but there's no pressure on the second shell this way. Mags DO NOT need to be seated hard with the bolt open. The BHO is tricky, but when loading I use...

    Damp ammo question

Why not? It'll dry quicker and more thoroughly hopefully. Myth Busters did a segment on that and ammo won't cook off until it reaches 450 or so. I say dry it at 150-200 for several hours. Just don't have small hands around that could change the temp on you!

    WHY "Made in the USA"

OP's postulation of a perfect trading world might work, IF WE LIVED in a perfect world. Problem is, we aren't, and we are smack in the middle of the flux. People ARE losing jobs due to offshoring, etc. People in manufacturing working the line for 20-30 years are being let go with a thank you...

    Price check- Saiga 20ga NIB

Why the 20? Kick almost as hard as the 12 due to the light barrel, harder to find parts to convert. I'd go 12, or if you want light, get the 410. More parts for it.

A year ago they were under $400. I missed one at $389 by days and ended up ordering mine for $480 last December.

Sharp Drop in Gun Crime Follows Tough Australian Firearm Laws?

Here is the operative statement of that entire lot of gibberish. Of course gun crime will reduce temporarily. Until the criminals get theirs by other means. They conveniently used a very short period following the ban when things are in disarray.

    Kahr PM45 Problem

From what I've read, stick with the metal framed Kahr's. Supposedly less problems. I have an MK-40 (metal) that's been great and I would have no problems CC'ing it. Have never tried their polymers, so I have to reserve judgment.

    Double Tap Ammo

I love DT in most of my guns, even my little P3AT. However, for some reason the 40 is soo hot that it caused FTF's in my Kahr MK40. Almost flew out of my hands once! A couple mags of the stuff and I was done. Just too hot for the little gun (or me!). I would NOT try it in the PM40! The DT...

Somehow, the bulk of the mass shooting didn't START until AFTER gun bans. Somehow the gun ban idiots don't understand why. Keep :banghead: hoping for a different outcome. :barf:

    Kahr PM45 Problem

I think i saw a graphic in an old thread on this subject, possibly on a different site. Anyway, when chambering a round directly and slamming the slide forward, the extractor HITS the rear of cartridge and has to deflect out and around the rim to engage the groove. Now take a look at your...

    Kahr PM45 Problem

NEVER a GOOD idea in ANY firearm. You are stressing the extractor and spring, and could easily break off the hook. When the round loads from the mag, it slide up INTO the extractor. The hook doesn't ride up over the cartridge rim when sliding into battery each time. Just because you've...
