My son was visiting earlier this month. We were going to find some backpacking gear and on the way the driver's rear tire delaminated. While I was working on changing it, he said "What's that, Pop?" pointing to the lump of my M&P9c worn IWB. I said that is my sidearm, and finished the tire...
I often carry my M&P9c (6.7" L x 4.3" H x 1.2" W) IWB in either a Desanti Tuck-This or a C-TAC. I find the Desanti much more comfortable. Other times I have my PM9 (5 3/8" x 4" x 7/8") in a (no giggling :o ) Uncle Mike's Inside-the-Pant Holster. It is like a "rent a holster for $17 per year". I...
You show up, tell the Agent at the Airline you need a firearm declaration. They give it to you (bright pink, orange or some times white), you sign and date it and put it in the case and re-lock it. Depending on the airport, you either walk your luggage to the TSA guys (bigger airports) or wait...
OK...so I learned in this thread it's not new
I travel a lot for work. I carry in states that allow, so I declare and check my CCW. About three weeks ago, the Airline Agents and the TSA folks stopped asking me to demonstrate that my sidearm was unloaded, just sigh the declaration, put it in...
Airline security is all about politics. You can not afford to get caught by something that was in the press.
We must take off our shoes because Mr. Reed hid C4 in his. Same with lighters. I check my sidearm when I travel to states that allow. One time I had 25 rounds of 9mm +P. That's over 2...
PM9 or M&P9c both hide well and are more accurate the I am (and probably 99.94% of us). The M&P is thicker and heaver but carries easily with a good holster IWB. I use a C-TAC for the M&P and an Uncle Mike's for the PM9. Both of these have been 100% for me. I find I hide a shorter grip better...
I checked with Kahr's Customer service Department. All Kahr pistols are rated +P steady diet, and that is what is in my PM9. I have a cheep Uncle Mike's IWB and it is fine. I can not re-holster it in place, but that is the only sacrifice. I figure it will last a year. At $17, it is kind of like...
A 9mm +P load 124 gr. bullet will travel over 5000 feet if fired at 32 degrees up. There are 640 acres in a square mile.
;) I would say you need a backstop and some aiming, or a lot of land!
