My answer to these are always the same. A 9mm with 147gr subsonic pills and a silencer if you can afford one. Unless you've been dumb enough to fire a ND in a small room with hard walls, you don't understand how disorienting that may be.

So all my "fun" ammo is 55gr. By most reports (and I do NOT want to debate this), most 1:7 barrels are fine with 55gr pills, BUT NOT ALL of them. So why take the chance? I have zero interest in heavy .223 bullets. This is for fun; fun ammo is cheap; cheap ammo is 55gr.

I'm looking for a complete AR15 to buy (not build) that has an 1:8 twist rate out of the box. Prefer DD or BCM level quality, but flexible there. 16" mid-length. This does not need to be a discussion about 1:8 vs 1:7. Just trying to find one.

I have a few, and this comment applies to me. Some are just older, nice examples of what was once a fairly common gun, but isn't anymore. For instance I have a Smith 25-2, but I don't shoot it because I have a newer 625 as well. I can shoot .45ACP all day in that until it bursts into pieces...

I would have liked to see an 18.x" barrel instead. I'd rather lose 1 shot capacity and have it slightly handier. Also depending on your load, you've already maxed out the speed before 20 inches.
